Democrat Anthony Weiner is married and sent private pictures to a female fan that wasn’t his wife.

An-tiny Weiner is definitely not a Republican. Compared to the modern day Republican, he’s not liberal enough.

LOL.. And then the story doesn’t even mention (anywhere) that he’s a Democrat. Too funny. Just like last week’s story on Edwards. Not one mention of Democrat.

Looks like they already corrected the headline.

I have a feeling that whoever wrote the original headline was not familiar with the American political terms. Perhaps the draft was ‘Rep. Weiner’, and the person (the editor?) wanted to be clear so s/he changed it into Republican Weiner. I see that the updated version uses ‘Rep. Weiner’.

uhhhh....I hate to have to be the one to tell you this, but...
“Rep.” in this case, does not mean “republican, it means “representative”.

The first story that pops up says
ABC News
Rep. Weiner uncertain

Rep doesn’t mean Republican, it means Representative.

They know there are plenty of Americans who don’t follow politics but might be interested in this anyway, so they figure they won’t know the difference if they put Republican instead of Democrat.

Honestly, they wish he was. Then they could mock the Republicans as being “the party of family values” but failing to live up to them.

This was a media favorite during the Gary Condit escapade. They would say “Rep. Condit” and never mention his party. I went through the Philly Inquirer one day and found 43 references to various politicians. Every single one said “Dem,NJ” or “Rep,Pa” except for Condit.

Democrat John McCain has not defended Democrat Anthony Weiner whom is married and sent private pictures to a female fan that wasn’t his wife.
