Confusion on Day 2 of Palin Bus Tour (Politico whines: Twitter best way to stay informed)
Politico ^ | Monday, May 30, 2011 | Andy Barr

Day 2 of Sarah Palin’s bus tour, and the former vice presidential nominee has prompted little more than confusion at exactly what she is up to.

Palin started Memorial Day at the National Archives in Washington, but the only reporters who made it to her brief media availability there were those who happened to see tourists posting on Twitter that they had spotted her.

Indeed, Twitter is about the only way to follow the former Alaska governor – unless you’re either Fox News host Greta Van Susteren or her husband, John Coale.

The Fox News host is traveling around with Palin on Monday and conducting an interview from inside the One Nation tour bus. Coale, who set up Palin’s political action committee in 2009 and serves as an informal advisor, was spotted walking around with the Palin family at Mount Vernon.

But even Van Susteren doesn’t seem to know what Palin’s up to next.

“My producer, who talked to someone who works with her in order to set up the interview, told me last night that he would not tell her,” Van Susteren posted on her blog Monday. “We were told to check their website for any information they are releasing. He said they don’t want the media following them, and that includes us.”

Imagine a group of these so-called "Journolists" sitting at a bar where they all congregate.

One of 'em gets the idea and realizes, "She might just end up winning the Presidency."

And when she does "Our careers are OVER, for at least the next twenty years, we are road kill!"

Then the pall falls over the congreation ...

I guess I was thinking more symbolically. There’s so many non-traditinal media now that there’s no reason a candidate still has to be defined by 0bama’s lapdog media.

Misogynist Andy Barr should be ashamed of himself.

WHINER. Unable to write a story,
and invents/moans what he calls (projects)
‘”confusion” of Gov. Palin’.

Palin should refuse to appear on any of the LSM channels during her Presidential run. She should only grant interviews to people like Greta. The LSM will still be forced to cover her anyways, e.g. rallies and townhalls and soundbites from other interviews, e.g. with Greta, so it’s not like she won’t be getting exposure on the LSM. She shouldn’t allow the LSM to play their usual games by interviewing her.

Good Lord, but I love this woman! She is the three-hundredth Degree Black Belt Sensei Master at manipulating like her own personal bee-yotch the Media that hate her, and at living large and rent-free in the teensey, tiny, pointy little Liberal pinheads' heads.

The day that they proved themselves to be her enemies, was the day that they guaranteed that they would be played like a Stradavarius, tuned like a Bosendorfer Concert Grand, driven like a rental car, used like a borrowed hammer, and then thrown away like a snot-filled Kleenex.

If she's your friend, you are among the truly blessed. And if she's your enemy, get a jockstrap with a titanium cup. Fast.

I don’t want a media that’s a lapdog of ANY candidate. The media should be skeptical and questioning, of ALL of the candidates. Otherwise, who is there that actually finds out the details about them, if the media doesn’t ask for us? If Palin is taking her campaign “directly to the viewers,” and bypassing all media, who’s going to ask her hard questions?

For instance, is this a family vacation going to historic sites, or a campaign kick-off? She’s got SarahPAC paying for it. What exactly is the purpose of SarahPAC? Is it to pay for family vacations? Is it to pay for a campaign? Are family vacations part of her campaign?

If the latter is the case, is she now using her family as a marketing tool for her campaign? That is exactly what she told us she would never do.

Palin is using Nathan Bedford Forrest’s rules on how to defeat a much more powerful enemedia. Create confusion, create frustration, create panic, get amongst’em and put a skeer in’em

Excellent point! Funny how the MSM put down their anointing kit and pick up the vetting kit when a conservative candidate (or pre-candidate) comes into view.

Thank you for your kindness. You write rather well, yourself. As for tangling with Todd Palin, I'm pretty sure I'd rather pull my own head off. Any guy who can ride a snowmachine across more than 1,000 miles of frozen tundra is not my idea of a fun-filled scrap.

A couple years ago, Todd crashed his snowmachine about 450 miles into the run, breaking his arm. He decided to finish the race, and then get his broken arm set. C'mon. Really? May I never have to tangle with someone like that. While I might survive the ordeal, I'd probably wish I hadn't.
