Well... her money bomb fizzled so she might be rethinking things in light of other possible future entries into the race.
>> Waterloo, huh? Unfortunate choice.
Self deprecating, hair-of-the-dog. Works for me.
My hearts with Sarah, but Michelle is no less an awesome figure in politics. Hell, the more Conservative women, the better :)
First of all re read what I wrote. Second of all I’m getting sick of the Palin cult of personality. If you’re not for Palin for president you’re a Communist or something.
My gut reaction is that she cannot win . I don’t think she’s ready to be president .Ok is that ok ?
I like Bachman better . I have no problem so relax .
Shut up.
Gut reaction and I’ll bet you anything she will never be president.
I can’t take this fanatic cult around her that if you don’t like Palin you’re a scumbag and unpatriotic. I dont think she’s up for that office and that’s that .
Gut reaction is that she’ll split the conservative vote .
See who is right in 2012
That's my greatest fear of a Bachmann run for the nomination. She can't win the whole shootin' match herself, but she's just dangerous enough to help Mitt take all the marbles.
We need a real patriot to run.
That said, with go-along-to-get-along Boehnerism on the rise in the House, Bachmann's voice is needed in the House. But she is absent on that. She doesn't seem to want to take on that fight. Apparently she thinks she can better help out by running for president.
What's my point?
The Peter Principle comes to mind.
Prepare to be sick a lot. Bachman is not stupid, she knows the race with Palin involved is much tougher if not impossible. So do the rest of those old mossbacks.
I will make this prediction, if Sara Palin is not the next president, I doubt there will be a Republican President before this century is over, if ever again.
We will have earned our place in the dustbin of history. I like Bachman very much and would vote for her in a heartbeat, but I doubt she will be the nominee. She is disposed by the RINO leadership, and will get no help there. Nor will Palin, but I think she can work aroundnthe system, if she can’t the party is pretty much over for this Republic.
My prediction is that if we don’t get a conservative, then Obama gets re-elected. But either way we see conflict come to America. I think it won’t be a revolt, at first. More like riots, fighting between pro-Obama people and anti-Obama people and the such. This country is deeply divided and the economy will default. SO then if you add the middle east to the equations things will be a mess. In my mind, there are at least five different scenarios that could play out. But something will happen between this summer and the inauguration of 2013 in my mind.
“I doubt very seriously if she could win a statewide election in Minnesota.”
I don’t think it matters, nor is it Bachmann’s objective/role in the 2012 election cycle to compete fully for the nomination.
Backmann is there to diffuse some of anti-Palin invective from the MSM/left/establishment right. She will attract the, for now, non supporting Palin conservatives/moderates. At the end of the day Bachmann will withdraw from the race and actively throw her support to Palin. Mission accomplished!
Really like your tagline, btw.
Amen.
I like Palin--it's her rabid, fans who seem to think that simply discussing the issues we'd be discussing with ANY potential president makes one a RINO, a Romneybot, or a communist, that annoy me.
These people seem to think Palin is their special friend, and cavalierly dismiss any objections.
Sorry, this woman wants to be president of the greatest nation on Earth, she is subject ot the scrutiny and HIGH STANDARDS of ANYONE who's up for the job.
Saying "Well Obama sucks, so there!" is allowing Obama's ineptitude to lower the bar, and I refuse to let that idiot determine my standards.
As it stands, Palin, Cain and Bachman are my 'top three' but that's not saying much as I haven't come to a decision, and am merely eliminating people at this point (any Dem, Romney, Giuliani, etc.), not fully behind anyone yet. That doesn't mean I 'hate Sarah' like this is a high school poularity contest--it merely means I am an adult who takes this all very seriously, and don't pretend Gov. Palin is a personal friend of mine because I like that she agrees with me on most issues. There's a lot more to choosing a candidate than that, and those who only see that they like osmeone and anyone who disagrees is a liberal I just don't have time for.
Waterloo is NOT the place to announce your candidacy for President! I understand that Michelle was born there, but does she even know about the history of Waterloo and Napoleon?
She gets the ideology right. I hope she can work on her Garrison Keeler delivery of it though...
I hope that you are correct about this. She, already, has mixed up past New Hampshire history with past Massachusetts history, and she isn’t, officially, a candidate for ‘12 POTUS yet. Starting her run from Waterloo could be an additional embarrassment for her.
“She is going to announce that she is planning on taking just enough votes from Sarah Palin to help elect a moderate establishment candidate”
Yep. Warm up the Straight Talk Express, here we go again!
