Tornado's as described in title.
Listen live at the link:
In May 1957 a tornado hit Love Field and Backman lake in Dallas and skipped over my house. I was 9 years old. I can still close my eyes and see that long twisting snake.
my niece is in McKinney. Any info from there?
I am in South Arlington and the tornado sirens have now gone off. Bye going to shelter.
I live east of DFW. NWS warning Arlington office of emergency mgmt warning that a tornado heading toward The Ballpark in Arlington. Cripes!
Looks like it's all over in FW now. From what I saw, it looks like most of the bad stuff went north of FW into the Bedford area and then on through DFW and Love Field. Only one rotation left and it's east of Dallas now on into Rockwall.
In the name of the MOST POWERFUL NAME in the universe, JESUS, please we ask of thee please calm the storm...in your precious name we pray..AMEN!
Prayers for the people in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. I have friends there!
Howdy. Went and checked outside for damage after the hail passed us. Got a few small dings on the truck, but the roof looks ok.
It may not be over yet. We've got our tornado set-up in the hallway, and shoes on all the kids. Batteries in the flashlights, and the emergency radio at the ready.
How are things at your place?
I know some don’t really believe in what I’m about to say, but it looks like GOD is REALLLLLLLLLL p’od at this country!
All of that still leaves my dumb question. Why don’t southern states homes have basements?
McKinney is clear.
Thank you both!
Haven't heard any warnings or watches for McKinney on local radio.
They evacuated the ball park- now reporting 60 mph winds there.
Glad y’all are prepared...stay safe!
It’s mostly quiet right now...
It looks like the rotational hook is fading over Arlington.
I remember something similar, but am not clear on the year. There were a few tornadoes on a day named “Disaster Dallas”. My brothers and I stood in the front yard with my mother and all the neighbors and watched those things twist across the sky. As things got worse my mom shoved us under the pier and beam foundation. To this day it’s a very vivid memory especially because I could tell my mom was terrified and I definitely didn’t want to go under the house with the spiders! Hope all of you stay safe tonight.
My father-in-law is in Arlington.
He makes the rain fall on the good and the bad.
Nature doing what nature does ... that's all.
