Foreign policy is Herman’s weakest point.
Many of us here on FREEP know more than our friends and family about history, economy, politics, our rights, how government works(or doesn’t work), etc....
Herman has not spent 10 years preparing to run for President. His name being mentioned as a future candidate is not the same as actually preparing for such or run- or making it a goal that one works towards. I have never known anyone in my life with more integrity than Herman Cain. And I mean REAL INTEGRITY.
It is obvious that he wasn’t familiar with the term “right of return”— but he admitted that clearly on Hannity last night.
What he does have is integrity and principles. He has great Leadership- and he will lead with his principles and integrity.
I am a big fan of Bachman and Palin- but I believe Herman Cain is the BEST person for President. I admit, knowing him personally give me a bit of bias- but there is no doubt that I would rather have a man of principle and integrity in office making decisions than politicos that will govern based on their own self interests- no matter how much more “knowledge” they have on foreign affairs....
Foreign policy is any governor's weakest point also, yet we've elected plenty of former governors.
Really guys, if Tim Pawlenty (a former governor with not foreign policy experience) stated spouting off like an expert would you say (1) he knows what he's talking about, or (2) he has been coached well.
We're so used to politicians PRETENDING to know the answer to every question, that we forget that that's all they are doing: pretending.

Some men are born to greatness. Others have it foisted upon them.

We ask only from a President that he have a vision of America’s ROLE in international affairs. The current holder of the office has decided that the USA has been an evil empire supporting the evil Israel and that “American Exceptionalism” is just jingoism.
I am sure we all agree that Cain understands what America’s role in the world should be: a leader and purveyor of good — to be respected by our friends and feared by our enemies.
I envy your association with Mr. Cain.
I don't doubt that he's a good man, but I'm very concerned about his not trying to get up to speed on foreign policy before launching a candidacy for the presidency.
ding ding ding! We have a winner :)
