How about, “XXX, you’re much to intelligent to think criticism of a socialist position is racism so why did you just play the race card? I would hope you’re above being a race baiter. Why did you do it?”

I prefer, “Only a fool or a dishonest race baiter would equate policy disagreement with being a racist. Which are you?” But then I won’t be running for anything and don’t have to suck up to the enemedia.

Or how about, “The left has completely maxed out the race card. You’re going to have to debate on facts, not slanderous accusations.”

Good one as well Sal. Lots of ways to handle that.

Another might be to say to the host:

Truth is zero has set race relations back in the country over 20 years so don't blame me for something your dear leader has done.

JC, I typed this last time and I’ll type it again this time.

But first, we have an “owner” of this thread and he’s quite fair, but stern when needed. If HE thinks Bray’s posts need to go he’ll say something. I’d also suggest, softly, that you address your concerns to him. This would be Alas Babylon.

Now, this IS a Sunday talk show thread. It’s been around for over nine years now, if I remember correctly. It’s allowed by JimRob to be in breaking news and indeed I do suspect, as Bray suggests, that many of the Sunday talk/Republican pundits kind of monitor this thread, maybe not for feedback of the general populace but for sure they’re holding fingers to the air to monitor the more Conservative types amongst us.

HOWEVER....America is a big country. There are several different time zones. Sunday talks shows might come on at this time here, at that time there....some Sunday talk shows don’t come on at all in different TV viewing areas. It’s not like watching American Idol, or a presidential speech for that matter, where the subject at hand is confined to an hour or so that all comments are best restricted to the subject at hand.

THIS thread goes on all day. There are down times, there are dry times, there are hours when those of us on the east coast aren’t watching what the left coast is watching and on and on.

Thus this thread is more amenable to posts and commentary like Bray’s and come on, please, his posts aren’t that long. I make Bray look like a piker at times.

It’s often a rollicking, rocking, rolling thread, quite different than many others. I’d suggest that compiled over all the years, this thread has probably clocked more views/comments than most, if not ALL others.

Finally, while I can’t talk for AB...who is quite able to talk for himself, I daresay if we had issues with drive-by posters coming on this thread, posting “tomes” and running off without bother of joining in the thread subject, I suspect AB would deal with it. That is NOT the case with Bray. He stays around and continues adding commentary, thoughts on the Sunday shows.

You’re out of line here and tis sad because you ARE a good writer and I’d love to read your commentary/banter.

But this is the SECOND time you’ve come on this thread and blasted a regular poster. Why?

Stick around and get acquainted with that page-down/scroll keys on your computer. Add your thoughts and opinions and join in the bluster.

Your obsession with Bray is puzzling.

Great! Facts always compound the left. Glen Beck proves that every day.

Thanks, don-o. I think Newt did well. He is a serious contender despite what George Will says. His views on medical vouchers/bonds/whatever, is one point that has me concerned. I understand the point about being responsible for yourself and your bills, but his position didn't sound much different than the individual mandate requirment with the obama plan. He needs to clarify and rethink this point if he wants to be taken seriously as a conservative (or "center-right") candidate.

On your second point, I think it Would be extremely difficult at this point.

I wish Newt had turned the tables and asked Gregory why HE (Gregory) thought that was a racist thing to say. Why would calling someone the "food stamp" president be racist? Is it because Gregory thinks most people on food stamps are black?

YES!!! And then add, "I don't share your low opinion of black people."

See how good it works, saw that it was lengthy and something I wasn’t interested in and just scrolled to the next one. That scroll button works really well. Now I am sure you have a point besides the one on your noggin.

I have not seen it used much but “racer” makes a lot of sense to me to describe someone who uses race and race-baiting to disparage conservatives.

Now that you mention it I believe he does!

Your energy posts are really good. Do you think there is anything zero will do more than just talk about letting big oil drill more? Or is it just more campaign rhetoric, saying the right thing at the right time? I may be slow getting back to you, gotta work today.

Since zero will say anything to get elected and we all know to watch what he does, not what he says; I have to conclude your second option is what’s happening.

A wee bit hysterical, I'd say.

Perhaps. A legitimate criticism I suppose.

So what you think of Newt and Huck and their respective announcements?

Of course not. He knows the House bill is coming and very well may pass the Sinate since there are so many up for reeletion and he can fall back on this. He can now veto it claiming extremism or sign it if pressure gets too high.

If they are pressured into passing it watch oil prices tumble and the economy begin to recover.

Pray for America

Newt has also to change his position on manmade global warming and amnesty. As I said previously, Newt is part of the problem, not the solution. He is part of the ruling class that has gotten us into our current state of financial and moral bankruptcy. His nomination would be the final nail in the coffin of the GOP. There would be a third party.

Good catch it is an up and coming term used to describe many dems who run out of excuses for their sides incompetence.
