Mike Huckabee just announced on his show that he is NOT running for President.
You shouldn’t trust her, but you could try trusting God, may make a lot of things better in your world, might even help us on this forum.
You forget though that he backed Romeny in 2008, that automatically is enough for me not to vote for him.
Great! Who’s next?
I am. I'm not running for Pezident!
On another note, in a weak moment, I was over viewing a thread on DU and they were having a conversation about Mitt Romney’s Mormon underwear. If we were to talk about Burkas or those raghead deals we would be deemed racist and intolerant.
I was listening to his show on Sirius radio and heard the announcement. IMHO, it was very classy! Like he said, he’ll help where he can!
I agree, I don’t think Palin’s going to run either. I think she likes her current job and she hasn’t even set up an exploratory committee: http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2011/04/20/palin-exploratory-committee-isnt-on-radar-yet/
This early on I just look for whoever “looks Presidential,” that is someone who’s basically attractive, healthy-looking, charismatic and generally appealing. I don’t have any illusions that the typical voter really cares about issues that much; they just want to vote for someone who looks confident and speaks smoothly.
That’s why I think the nominee be Pawlenty or Huntsman or someone bland-seeming like him: not too fiery, no strong negatives, positive, likeable guy all around. The GOP doesn’t want to risk anything with an strong idealogical candidate. Romney has always had a “fakeness” to his personality (like John Edwards) that made me think people don’t really like him, though he is attractive and healthy-looking.
Thank God and Greyhound he’s gone
People make fun of Romney’s magic underwear all the time on FR. It’s funny because it’s true!
For me, I’m just watching for someone I don’t want to just punch in the face. So far, I have just wanted to give Sarah a light slap once or twice.
Not much of a slap though.....
Take your pick. I left out the joke candidates (your definition may vary):
Michele Bachmann
John Bolton
Herman Cain
Mitch Daniels
Newt Gingrich
Rudy GiulianiMike Huckabee
Jon Huntsman, Jr.
Gary Johnson
Thad McCotter
Roy Moore
Sarah Palin
Ron Paul
Tim Pawlenty
Buddy Roemer
Willard Romney
Rick Santorum
Donald Trump
Ditch Mitch........ http://indianamuslims.org/index.php/events/governors-annual-iftar/98
It would be amusing to see any of them debate The Chosen One. Perhaps he could recruit a Navy Seal to stand in for him.
Yeah, what's that all about? NRO didn't even mention Sarah in the 'who gains' column. Are they brain dead?
Here's who gains:
The Republican Party better start treating these two Ladies with a little Respect! Know anyone else more conservative, American and grounded than Sarah and Michele?
I love Sarah...she has NO chance to win. She guarantees Obama another 4 years
Who is your pick genius?
to ak267 the troll...sorry
I think the NRO assumes Sarah’s not running (see my #227, she said to WSJ she has no committee and doesn’t really seem to be looking seriously at getting into the race). Michele might run but can’t win (as Ron Carey, her chief of staff last year, put it, and as most polls show). So ... that’s why NRO ruled them out.
I take back what I said about Bachmann and polls. She is actually leading in polls of conservatives but I still don’t think she is going to run or can win. She also doesn’t have an exploratory committee and I think she wants to stick around in Congress longer at her current job.
