The wife of a Tucson man killed in a Pima County SWAT raid May 5 pleaded for five minutes with 911 dispatchers to send an ambulance for her mortally wounded husband, audio records show.
Often through tears and sometimes in broken English, Vanessa Guerena, tells 911 operators that her husband had been shot by a "bunch of people" who opened the door of their southwest-side home and "just shoot him." Meanwhile, dispatchers worked to determine if she was calling from a house where the SWAT team was serving a search warrant, audio released Friday by Drexel Heights Fire Department reveals. It takes about an hour for waiting medics to know what happened, and the man is dead before fire crews are allowed into the home.
Jose Guerena, 26, a former Marine, was sleeping after the graveyard shift at Asarco Mission mine about 9:30 a.m. when his wife woke him saying she heard noises outside and a man was at their window. Guerena told his wife to hide in a closet with their 4-year-old son, his wife has said. He grabbed an AR-15 rifle and moments later was slumped in the kitchen, mortally wounded from a hail of gunfire.

I keep thinking about all the tv shows that have acclimated people to seeing the jackboot thugs breaking down doors. Of course, they are always the heros and there is always a clear and evil criminal. And leftist HollyScum has helped train us for the police state too.

In Tucson, we have red-light cams, mainly in the middle class/conservative/gun-owning side of town. Watching us 24-7, on top of the other things you mentioned, and it’s getting harder to avoid those intersections as the things multiply. For our safety of course.
Absolutely. I live in a rural area, and the nearest town (20 min) of 50K has CCTV on every light. I’m sure paid for by “Federal” tax dollars. The media was not only complicit, but the useful idiot in this campaign. As Yuri Bezmenov warned, the complicit media helping the totalitarian rise to power will be “squashed like a bug” (as he put it), by the very thugs they adored and fawned over. Sickening.
We are not talking about bad cops - It is leadership and training issues that killed Jose Guerena.
I am disturbed and upset about a young hero Marine possibly killed by “friendly fire” under questionable circumstances by Pima County SWAT. A 26 year-old former Marine Jose Guerena is dead, was it righteous or criminal? Lets check the current info available from Pima County Sheriff’s spokesman, and media quotes:
Jose Guerena arrives home from working 12 hour a shift at mining job, showers and goes to sleep. The man has no criminal record other than a couple of traffic tickets.
Two hours later Pima SWAT arrives with sirens and lights on all vehicles at Guerena home to serve warrant. (Wife and locals say no lights or sirens observed) Lights and sirens on serving a warrant, LOL?
Wife & son see unidentified man pointing gun in window, runs toward bedroom to wake Jose fearing home invasion.
Jose wakes, instructs wife to hide with son in closet, with AR-15 moves toward front door.
Guerena home door breeched. SWAT claims after knocking for 15 seconds and announcing. Wife and locals say no knock, no ID announced.
SWAT claims fired upon by Guerena upon entry and returned fire, 71 rounds. SWAT recants initial statements. Jose’s weapon was found on safe with round in chamber. First man in stack has accidential discharge (AD) that hits door frame, and he falls back, whole stack opens fire on Guerena. You can clearly see from the videos of the house that most of the 71 shots hit walls and doorframe. County Corn says 60 hits on Guerena, I would like to see second opinion. As said previously would you want to be the pointman in the door, if you’ve got 4 or 5 quick triggers behind you that’ll spray and pray? SWAT lucky Guerena demonstrated more fire discipline than they were capable of demonstrating
SWAT made entry into two other homes to check for possible injuries and damage from rounds that penetrated after exiting from the Guerena home.
Wife talks with 911 operator for more than five minutes pleading for help while husband bleeds out and SWAT hangs around outside trying to figure out what happened and what to do next. SWAT pull wife off phone and out door, kid still in closet.
Wife claims Jose was still alive. SWAT said he was dead hitting floor. 1 hour and 15 minutes to “clear” house before SWAT allows an ambulance crew work scene.
Wife not served with warrant, warrant and files sealed after the fact.
Post entry/shooting investigation being conducted Pima County Sheriff’s Office. Why not let AZ State Police investigate with all conflicting statements.
This needs to stay at top of stack. Righteous or wrongly all the facts need to be out on the table .
Thank you for that info. I agree, it’s not bad cops (though most inherently are), it’s a systemic problem. All info points to idiocy, thugocracy and cover up. Sickening.
That’s very disturbing!! I thought it was bad enough when those things came to the city, but now almost every small town in AZ has them. So I couldn’t run away even if I wanted to! At least Nappy’s spy cameras on the state highways were removed after she left, one small victory for the subjects of the state.
My parents and grandparents escaped from Stalin, and I lost many relatives in Siberia. Within one generation (and my youngest sister is only in her early 30s), we are here again. I feel sickest for my parents — I only have one grandmother left and she has dementia — but my parents see this happening all over again.
(Oh and I forgot another one of my favorites, Google spy cams watching us in our formerly private backyards, we have high walls all around the yard because of the pool. And their “street-view” peering in our front windows, those of us who aren’t in gated or secluded locations.)
I can’t remember where I posted this yesterday, but I was telling someone about the National Park Service law enforcement rangers that I knew. I too went to “cop shop” and got my LE commission — but just so I could carry a gun in my pack, not for hard-core LE. Most of the guys and gals I went to school with and later knew in the NPS, were wanna-be “real” cops. Many with short man’s complex and compensating for real or perceived inadequacies. Immoral and some of them, quite sadistic.

I hear you, and I have seen a few of your posts on a numeber of threads sharing your experience and that of your parents. I’m sorry it was come to this, really, but I suppose that each and every generation has to learn this lesson themselves (Jefferson did say it lasted about 20 years, IIRC).
Of three close friends I had that became officers, one (one of the kindest, respectful guys I know) quit because he couldn’t stand it, the other (an average guy, but a bit “cocky”) quit and joined the military, I guess to broaden his Horizons (a step up for him, I suppose), and the third is still an officer, who, sadly, who is not only an Obama/Reid supporter, but also had many, many feelings of inadequacy growing up. He grew up without his father, and while nice enough, did have a bit of a controlling complex and anger issues even as a youth. I guess he found his niche.
P.S. I know dozens more officers, these are just 3 I knew from the days of being a kid, through adulthood, and they all went to work for the same PD.
Does either of you happen to know -— if people have security doors, will the jackboots pull them out? Or do they come in another way without the doors? I’ve seen their battering rams, and many of the front doors in these 60s houses are easy enough to break through (you could almost kick them in, hence so many home invasions going on), but I was wondering about the security door thing....

I think you’re right about each generation. It hasn’t helped that Hollywood made almost zero movies about their friends, the Communists (China, USSR, Cuba, or anywhere else). The idiots wearing Che shirts and Obama shirts and yelling class warfare crap have no clue.

That is a question to which I don’t actually kow the answer. My guess is that they would go through the window, but I assure you that locks are NOT a problem for police, merely an inconvenience (hence kicking/ramming in the door). They could open the lock within a few seconds (There are electronic lockpicks like a screwdriver that you merely insert into the keyhole and it cycles through a few seconds to open the lock, locksmiths often have them), it would merely cost them the element of surprise.
Thank you :(( I just kind of wondered. I don’t know if this poor family had that or not. I do know that when I was walking door-to-door, delivering campaign brochures last fall, most houses in certain neighborhoods had the security doors.

It’s very, very true. There are few out there who still do good for the community, but they have largely been institutionalized out of the system. (Don’t rat on each other, etc.). I have met a very few outstanding law enforcement officers, but they are few and far between. I’d say about a third are decent, but only maybe one in ten, if that, are the kind of person that is worthy of holding a badge. They may have once been, but like I’ve said before, there is a reason that the saying is “Power corrupts,” because it’s a proven fact that even perceived power corrupts all but the most stalwart of men. And they are usually the ones who don’t want it, and will readily lay it down (Exactly how we got the “Sheriff” in the first place).
And thank you again. I have really enjoyed reading your posts on this thread, so ditto! Your posts, and some of the others, at least make me proud of the America I once knew. More people than I realized know exactly what’s going on with the police state!
There’s just no excuse for this.
