Rapper (Common) AWOL at White House event
Daily Caller ^ | May 11, 2011 | Neil Munro

White House officials have sidelined a rapper who glibly validated threats and violence against police, and quietly dropped him from the afternoon session of today’s poetry event at the White House.

First lady Michelle Obama welcomed the invited poets to the event, but notably did not mention the controversial rapper, whose stage-name is Common. “Rita Dove, Billy Collins, Kenny Goldsmith, Alison Knowles, and Aimee Mann, let’s give them a round of applause,” Ms. Obama said. “We’ll get to hear from these folks,” she added.

The first lady’s office declined to comment on whether Common will play a role in the event’s evening session.

Yes and no. It was under the bus with him, mostly because the announcement of his presence had created such a furor among people Bambi needs to be reelected (the white guilt crowd, mostly middle income women between the ages of 18 and 65 and middle income men between the ages of 30 and 50) that they thought it expedient to move him onto another track.

That is, Bambi & Co didn’t renounce him. He’s still out there, and his homies know it was only the eeevil white man that forced Bambi to make this gesture.

And Hannity just played the video...Common is "performing" right now.

Hannity opened his show by stating that this guy “just took the stage” at the WH. So apparently he is performing.

Isn't that pathetic? What a couple of nasty racists that we have living in our White House! How very, very sad!

ATTENTION APPLE-USING FREEPERS

I’ve known who Common is for years, and those of you using Macs, please know that Common was the centerpiece of an iTunes ad campaign last year.

So, if you’re using Apple, you’re helping supporting these beliefs.

How Hannity could possibly giggle like he did about his associations with this thug is beyond me.

Yeah, that’s it exactly. There is a certain personality characteristic of many White people that just ‘craves’ to be accepted by Black thugs. ?

It gives them a feeling of acceptance and validation which I (and likely most of us) will never understand.

But yeah, the bragging and giddiness at being told that Hannity is ‘gangsta’ is typical of many Whites who do not (from some reason) associate the term with what it is, i.e., rape, robbery, drugs, and murder.

I don’t know what they are thinking? By me...

Yes, Daily Caller just reported it:

Common was introduced at the evening session without any reference to the conservatives’ derision of his poetry or to some police advocates’ dismay at his poetic validation of cop-killers. “Thanks very much, I appreciate being here,” Common said, according to a CBS news report.

He repaid the first couple for sticking with him by declaiming three times the line “One King’s Dream, He was able to Barack us,” according to the CBS report.

Dovetails quite nicely with Obummer's WTF mantra.<\p>

The absolute epitome of depraved.

To be so caught up in their ideology that they can no longer see beyond their depravity.

Yes, local Fox Chicago News just did a big feature on it. Talked about how “artists” are always controversial, how “those people” critical of his performing would only accept Will Smith, how Willie Nelson smoked a joint at the White House after a performance, etc., etc.

It happen about the same time teenage pimple faced suburban White kids started walking around with their pants halfway to their knees talking and acting like Blacks from a Detroit ghetto. Amazing. Shocking really.

Do you mean these guys?

Cannot imagine Laura Bush diminishing herself or her role as First Lady in such a low-class exhibition. Didn’t always agree with President Bush but the Bushes have more innate class than our MMB president could dream of having.
