White House officials have sidelined a rapper who glibly validated threats and violence against police, and quietly dropped him from the afternoon session of todays poetry event at the White House.
First lady Michelle Obama welcomed the invited poets to the event, but notably did not mention the controversial rapper, whose stage-name is Common. Rita Dove, Billy Collins, Kenny Goldsmith, Alison Knowles, and Aimee Mann, lets give them a round of applause, Ms. Obama said. Well get to hear from these folks, she added.
The first ladys office declined to comment on whether Common will play a role in the events evening session.

I don’t know. I stopped watching BOR when I could afford cable.
You got it, Mojo.
It’s gone now.
It’s safe to return to this thread.
(Seriesly. I’d rather look at Helen Thomas pictures)
~~shudder~~
Wow, a little responsiveness.
They used to carry on like King George.
The Obama’s don’t know any decent people.
It’s all thugs all the time.
Why would anyone take “Common”—a word that means inferior or substandard—as a stage name?
Certainly they hate us... but they don’t care about our opinion about their sticks in our eyes... we are cattle to them.

Anyone check his twitter account, maybe they snuck him in the backdoor!
Sorry, but mooshell is seriously the most unattractive first lady EVER - and to think even Eleanor Roosevelt has her beat.
When did he do this video then?

He used to use the stage name of Common Sense. That is not a joke, and is the truth.
He shortened to just Common years ago, because his fans didn’t understand his original name, nor did they practice it. That may or may not be a joke.
I still can't believe it's real.
Common will be 10x more "rich and famous" than he ever was. All he had to do was stand up the Obamas.
Of course, that was AFTER he got the phone call.
The White House didn't uninvite him publicly and him not showing up got him another 48hrs in the news cycle.
Yes - Big Bad Cattle
Yup, us too. And I’m a first-gen American whose parents came here legally and after surmounting massive obstacles. I’m over it. It’s a police state to the law-abiding while the trash, leechers, criminals run rampant. And we get to pay for them to do so.
The Obama’s only hang decent people when they have to. It sure seems they like fraternizing with trash.
I bet Mooochelle was so disappointed this thug wasn’t there.
While talking about Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr.(Common) being invited by the two blatant racists in our White House, Hannity today was very disappointing when he spent most of his show giggling about the thug Calvin Broadus (”Snoop”)saying that he, Hannity, was more “gangsta” than Snoop.
I got fed up and turned Hannity off after Hannity had nice things to say about the felon. To giggle and guffaw at anything to do with Calvin Broadus (Snoop) is a bit much. Here’s a modest record of this bum:
July 1993 - Calvin Broadus was stopped for a traffic violation and a firearm was found by police while conducting a search of his car.
August 1993 - Calvin Broadus was charged for being an accomplice to the murder of Phillip Woldermarian.
May 1998 - Calvin Broadus was arrested for misdemeanor marijuana possession.
October 2001 - Calvin Broadus was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, after his tour bus was stopped and searched in Ohio.
April 2003 - Calvin Broadus’s bodyguard, McKinley Lee, was grazed by a bullet after unknown assailants showered Snoop Dog’s car and other cars in his entourage with bullets.
August 2003 - Calvin Broadus was named in an affidavit claiming that he and the makers of the “Girls Gone Wild: Doggy Style” tape lured two underage girls to take their tops off for the camera by offering them marijuana and ecstasy.
How Hannity could possibly giggle like he did about his associations with this thug is beyond me. I don’t find anything about Calvin Broadus humorous. He should be in prison. And here’s Hannity laughing and carrying on like a grouplie about the thug.
And I’m absolutely ashamed of the two inhabitants of our White House to even entertain inviting this Lonnie Rashid Lynn, Jr. who glorifies police killing and talks about women like they’re trash. Shame on the Obambi’s. When are these two grifters going to stop acting like jerks?
