The Candidates...
Gary Johnson
Johnson served as governor of New Mexico from 1995 to 2002. He founded what would become one of the largest construction companies in New Mexico. He has competed in several triathlons and climbed Mount Everest.
Herman Cain
Cain is the former chief executive of Godfather's Pizza and former chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He lost the Georgia Republican primary for a U.S. Senate seat in 2004. He was recently the host of Atlanta-based radio show.
Rick Santorum
Santorum served two terms in the U.S. House and two terms in the U.S. Senate. He became the Senate's third-ranking Republican in 2001. He was defeated for reelection in 2006.
Ron Paul
Paul is serving his 11th full term in the U.S. House. Hes an obstetrician-gynecologist and was the Libertarian nominee for president in 1988. He unsuccessfully sought the Republican nomination for president in 2008
Tim Pawlenty
Pawlenty served two terms as governor of Minnesota, from 2002 to 2010. He served in the Minnesota House from 1992 until 2002. He is the son of a truck driver.
Pawlenty asked about whether a Huckabee run puts him out of business: "I love 'The Huck.'" Claims he has momentum. (HA-HA!)
Paul asked about Bachmann having eclipsed him. He says no. Says they meet in the Tea Party caucus.
Santorum asked about Newt's personal past as baggage. Says even hypocrites can preach standards they can't live up to and shouldn't be intimidated for doing it.
Johnson asked about having a Reality TV show like Trump. Some physical fitness show. Dings Palin's show and her crawling around on the ground.
How could anyone that does not have access to The Pentagon, Langley AFB, Ft. Meade, MacDill AFB, Norfolk NB, or Offut AFB ever hope to have an opinion about prosecuting a war. Cain has had the only reasoned response to this kind of question.
Yeah, what the hell is he saying???
I suspect some tokage of Hindu Kush.
Pawlenty: “I grew up in a working class family”
SHUT UP about that already! ENOUGH!
Cain/Santorum - Winners tonight.
Paul - Lots of fun to listen to but not presidential
Johnson - Loser tonight
Yeah, he looks like that weird dude on Lord of the Rings, .... “my precious.... “
Santorum plays the victim card .... got arrows in his back from the media.
Agreed on Santorum.
I noticed the same thing about Johnson. He speaks with a slight lisp and his mannerisms are a tad on the "light" side. He was married until 2005 until he opted for a separation.
Gary Johnson needs to go home and never be heard from again.
True. But RP and Johnson are just not electable in my personal assessment. RP is very quick-witted though.
Question probably submitted by Barbara Walters lol
CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN, CAIN,
Milt just sucks, period.
Next debate (presumably the next debate shown on Fox News... they had trouble sneaking that plug in...)
Aimes, Iowa, August 11
Cain is the only one I’d vote for in this group.
I’d be enthusiastic for a Palin-Cain or Cain-Palin ticket.
Why? Because he wants to run the country like a business or because he has positions that would put money IN the coffers instead of a black hole?
I put Santorum 2nd and Pawlenty 3rd.
It was a good debate. I enjoyed it.
Johnson reminds me of an old actor that I can’t remember the name of.
Cain’s foreign policy answers were reasoned, technically correct, but weak.
I think voters will want him to take a stand.
I do think he’s the clear winner of the debate though.
I really liked Santorum’s answer about Newt (though I don’t care for either of them).
I liked a lot of what Paul and Johnson said- drugs aside.
Pawlenty...blahhhh...yawnnnn..
CAIN ROCKED!!!!
Cain did well. Cain/West. It is still not too late West/Cain 2012
