She is giving credit where it’s due. the military still considers Pres Bush as the C-I-C
That is exactly what she did, and what she should have done. They both get kudos. I can’t stand bambi but for once in his life he did the right thing.
disparaged Islam -—
Yeah that worse than having special Obama assassination teams, murder a Muslim, while violating another countries Sovereignty, eh?
She did thank them both, she is all class.
Lower-case “g” in “God.” Now the liberal msm wan’t to diminish God in standard journalistic style.
Eight Deuce on the loose!
Does ANYONE really think Obama would have set up anything to actually capture or kill Muslim terrorists? Totally laughable. Thanks President Bush.
Get off the golf course and do your job, Pres__ent Obama.
"PALIN POLITICIZES BIN LADEN'S DEATH IN FRONT OF TROOPS..."
(from the movie Troy) Odysseus: [to Achilles] “War is young men dying and old men talking. You know this. Ignore the politics.”
That's obviously what she did but as it's quoted, We thank our president, we thank President Bush. it could mean she believes Bush is 'president in exile' and she doesn't recognize Obama. The comma leaves ambiguity.
That'll be the spin as implied by the article title.
Obama should be thanking President Bushm because if Obama had done things his way, OBL would still be hiding in a cave. (I know he was in a stupid house but the point is still valid)
To some extent, I disagree somewhat.
Sarah Palin said: We thank our president, we thank President Bush.
My take is that Mrs. Palin (far smarter and more subtle than the lamestream media will ever realize) chose her words very carefully. She said "we thank our president" without mentioning the idiot Obama by name. I think she was rightfully expressing justified appreciation for the office as opposed to the current _resident illegally occupying that position.
In contrast, she adroitly did cite President Bush by name. As I see it, the implication is that the Bush administration is responsible for the planning and implementation of the operation carried out so supremely successfully by our brave men in the American military and intelligence circles. There's no doubt that Obama has been erecting roadblocks every step of the way to hinder the effectiveness of the Bush Doctrine, which has once again been vindicated (to the consternation of leftists).
As always, Sarah Palin strikes precisely the right tone not only by what she says but also by what she doesn't say. Her omission of the name of Obama was yet another brilliant stroke by a very skillful woman with outstanding rhetorical and leadership acumen.
