Palin Reacts to bin Laden's Death (SHE'S IN ON THE CONSPIRACY TOO!)
Fox ^ | 050211 | Sarah Palin

By Sarah Palin

Americans tonight are united in celebration and gratitude. God bless all the brave men and women in our military and our intelligence services who contributed to carrying out the successful mission to bring Bin Laden to justice and who laid the groundwork over the years to make this victory possible. It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of these brave Americans who relentlessly hunted down our enemy.

This is a victory for the American people, for the victims who were heartlessly murdered on September 11 and in Al Qaeda’s other numerous attacks, and for all the peace-loving people of the world.

No way.

If Bush knew where Osama was then he would have led the attack years ago.

Credit for this mission goes to Obama.

The only conspiracy I want to look into at this point is how Osama was allowed to live in luxury around the corner from Pakistan’s military school. Let’s talk about that problem.

Beyond what our senses tell us fairly accurately about our immediate surroundings, we know everything we know about the events and places and people in distant places and times only because other people have told us what they want us to believe. In this way, we are constantly being manipulated by others through dots on a page or screen, and electronically generated sound waves.

The sophistication of professionals at creating illusions or confusion about the truth of these realities has been honed to a high degree, not just through the technology, but through indecipherable layers of disinformation.

Anyone who ever participated first-hand in some historical event, and later learned how it was presented to the world, knows this clearly, especially if the event was significant and controversial, and if there was strong incentive to manipulate public sentiment in one direction or another.

We have been played, we are being played, and we will be played by those with the ability and the motivation to play us. That is the only certainty. The rest is just various degrees of denial or acceptance of that certainty. Believe what you want.

Lately FR has been replete with all kinds of nuttier than squirrel sh*t conspiracy theories on a number of topics. The insanity and inanity needs to stop.

Lately?

I remember quite a few back in '98.

You don’t have to be shamed into silence for it to stick. Believe me, brother, on behalf of the SOF community, where I spent many years, and buried many friends, let me tell you. You’re a coward.

LOL. Sarah Palin well knows that we've ALL known "generally" where OBL was for years, and that while we may not have known the specific house, we could have taken him out at any time. The reason we didn't of course was that we could not violate Paki territorial sovereignty and that regardless of what they say---now or in the future---privately they gave us permission to do so.

The interesting spin I've seen is that it was precisely because they feared Obama's weakness would cause a massive collapse of order (including their own) that they ok'd the strike.

Were the participants bussed in as the Democrats do so often with instructions to make merry as I saw on CBS news over the information that OBL was finally killed? Obama was an hour, or so later in making his announcement perhaps to allow the accumulation of merrymakers outside the WH fences. I don’t know, but the track record of the Democrats, and the track record of the Liar In Chief cause me suspicion.

Since DC itself is mostly black and those celebrants were mostly young and white I'm thinking staffers rather than a spontaneous crowd.

Oh good grief, “in on it”? Can we have at least one day where we don’t sound like Democrats circa 2001-2008. Stop insulting the job our troops did by tainting it with conspiracy theories. Quick question for conspiracy mongers- would you rather UBL be alive just to embarrass Obama?

My thoughts exactly. I never thought that I would see the day when Freepers would act as dumb as a the real dummies at DU. You can bet that if we killed OBL when Bush was POTUS, we would be laughing at the brain-dead idiots over at DU for claiming that OBL has actually been dead for years and that Bush faked the military operation for political gain or that OBL really isn't dead and Bush faked the death for political gain. We know that's how DU would respond because that's how they initially responded to the reports that we had captured Saddam Hussein.

Conspiracy? WTF? R U crazy? This story will be big news only for a few days. Then small news as more details come out for a couple weeks, slowly diminishing over that time.

So where is the big political gain from this? The timing is all wrong to be any real help for reelection. If Obama tries to come across as the bad ass who got Osama, it will backfire. He will get a small benefit from this, as he should, or as any president would. That's it.

Giving Osama a timely Muslim burial, BRILLIANT. Burying the body at sea, SMART. We don't need the body. Photos and tissue samples are totally sufficient. They WILL be released (or leaked).

It suits her purposes (politics or punditry) to accept Obama's claims without question.

We don't have such burdens so when Obama says OBL is dead and we have the body (no we did, we don't! it's buried at sea!) we must say "extraordinary claims demands extraordinary evidence."

It's not just "us" who should ask, the world should ask. W had to provide evidence of Saddam's son's deaths, Khalid Shaikh Mohammed's capture yet Obama get by on his word? Sorry, no.

I know you do. OBL is dead and that is a good thing. Yes, Obama will make political hay out of it, but the killer of thousands of Americans and tens of thousands more due to his influence has finally been given his just desserts.

I will celebrate it. You can doubt it and believe in conspiracies. I hope you can finally come to terms with the fact that OBL is dead and rejoice. Denial just ain't a river in Egypt. Cheers and Go Navy!!

///Don’t call me brother you mewling little bitch.///

Fair enough,

Let me tell you. I’ve been a FReeper for 11 years. I lurked for three before that. Spent most of them at war. I’ve been shot at. Mortared. Rocketed. Seen vehicles in front of me blown to pieces. Later, I worked as a trainer in Iraq and Afghanistan, sending a generation of troops after threats large and small.

Today is a day of celebration for us. I don’t know what you’ve done in your life to make you think you can speak like that to me.

I have friends all over the world, SOF, conventional and intel, who are celebrating. I’m going to celebrate with them.

Enjoy your life, for whatever it is, and forget we spoke.

Thanks. Reading the threads last night and this morning I can’t hardly believe some of the reactions. Some folks seem to hate the President more than Osama bin Laden, and I’m sorry, but I just can’t go there. If Obama announced free ice cream for everyone, some of the posters around here would bitch because it was too cold, not cold enough, not real ice cream, or that is was really from George Bush, but the MSM wouldn’t report that. Whatever...

My thoughts exactly. If this were an October surprise, it may have been useful. This far out from the election with the economy still a mess, Osama being killed is just isn't going to mean anything. Especially when you look at the rest of Obummers record on foreign policy. He lost Egypt to muslim extremists. Libya is not going well, we will probably have troops there soon. Israel looks like it is in trouble. He refused to back the Iranian uprising. Killing OBL will not wash that record.

The crowd was mostly from George Washington University and American University. Hence, it was mostly white. A friend of my daughter jumped in her car in Arlington and drove to the WH to join in the celebration. She transmitted pictures and videos. I am convinced that this demonstration was not staged. It was spontaneous. Lots of American flags and singing of the national anthem.

No doubt some groups also came down as well. One person interviewed by Al Jazeera was supposedly a US Afghan vet from a group of veterans recommending that now that OBL is dead, we should get out of Afghanistan. But most were students.
