Commenting on the death of Osama Bin Laden, Rep. Gary Ackerman has gloated: "this is the 'Mission Accomplished' moment President Bush only fantasized about." Could the Dem from New York have gotten the inspiration for his taunt from Andrea Mitchell?
The question arises because in the run-up to President Obama's announcement last night, Mitchell said something similar, if not quite as pointedly partisan.
Not only did Mitchell throw Mission Accomplished in Pres. Bush's face, she also, for purposes of taking another slap at Pres. Bush, misrepresented the history of Tora Bora. Mitchell claimed that John Kerry made it a 2004 campaign issue on the basis that OBL could have been killed or captured there "if troops had not been moved to Iraq." But the Battle of Tora Bora took place in 2001 and the Iraq war didn't start until 2003.

Isn’t interesting watching it in real time was a Klintoon hack Panetta. You and I know that their is more to the Clinton Stain that Monica. tangent to this? I want to know what Sandy Bergler was trying to smuggle out in his pants.
Kinda like getting Capone.....but the mob still goes on...
Andrea Mitchell: assuming the mantle of Helen Thomas
Mission Accomplished was in regards to the end of combat operations in Iraq, and had nothing to do with Afghanistan or an end to the WOT. These people are idiots.
“I would love to piss on this people.”
Get used to it because thats all we`re going to hear.
Andrea would probably love it...the closest thing to sexual contact she woulda had in decades.
Morons. It took 5 years to develop this lead, so Bush gets the credit for being there when the lead was first developed.
No wait, not morons. Just biased cheerleaders.
Had the roles been reversed, and the predecessor was a Democrat, they’d be talking about how none of this could have taken place without all the great groundwork laid by the predecessor.
It’s kind of even worse than that - Obama actually became a participant in mob war, and on the wrong side. He’s done more damage in less time in the MEA (Middle East and Africa) than Osama always wanted to but didn’t have his powers to do.
Worse yet he is making up “rules” as he goes. Libya is truly an “illegal war” (undeclared, not presented to nor approved by the Congress, but nobody, especially liberals, want to talk about it). Going into Pakistan without conferring with or having the permission from the government of the country is clearly a kind of “cowboy” decision that liberals would excoriate George W. Bush for anything like it.
What they don’t realize right now, in their myopic euphoria over “highest priority mission accomplished” - getting Osama bin Laden clearly should not be the highest priority in the WOT or other priorities - is that Obama has established a precedent for next Republican “cowboy”... not that their own “precedents” would mean anything to them down the road.
This is the kind of crap we should expect from the MSM. The military did this, not the administration. But to the MSM and liberals EVERYTHING is political.
What... bankrupt the country?
My TV will not allow me to view her face.
All AlQida prisoners gave some of the information. Some AlQaida prisoners gave all the information. In the end it was AlQaida itself who turned over Osama Bin laden to the United States.
Appalachacola Florida is kinda like that.
