Playing devil's advocate, although I would expect that a US resident with dark skin would be listed as a "negro" but I can see the possibility that a foreign citizen with dark skin might be listed as "African" as a way of differentiating.

Ultimately, the existence (or not) of the piece of paper is just the first hoop. The data on the piece of paper is where Obama will necessarily trip. There are no good choices for some of the data. Either he is ineligible, or he has been living a complete lie as to name and/or parentage.

I see no way out for him -- and that's why he hides the paper. His best gambit is to say, "Yes, I have the paper, it's perfectly good paper, and No, you can't see it." This is his only good answer, and it is precisely the strategy he has been playing, and spending $2M to maintain.

And now it is turning out to be an insufficient answer. But he has no Plan B.

The COLB had to say “African” to ensure the black vote. My guess is it was changed from some other, less definitive, designation around the time BO decided to run.

Until we see a real live birth cert., for all we know, Obama is a robot and only has an inventor instead of parents. He certainly talks like a robot and is undoubtedly programmed.
