Schwarzenegger, Bloomberg at White House for immigration meeting
Los Angeles Times ^ | April 19, 2011 | Michael A. Memoli

Former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger leads a list of 19 so-called "stakeholders" who will meet with President Obama at the White House to discuss immigration reform Tuesday afternoon.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, former Los Angeles Police Department Chief William J. Bratton, Los Angeles City Council President Eric Garcetti and former Republican Sen. Mel Martinez of Florida are also attending, the White House says.

The Obama administration says the group will discuss "the importance of fixing the broken immigration system for our nation's 21st century economic and security needs." Other administration officials attending include U.S. Atty. Gen. Eric Holder, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and Labor Secretary Hilda Solis.

So according to Rove, tens of millions of new leftist voters, permanent leftist control of the presidency, overwhelming leftist control of the federal government, and leftist control of states and cities, is a good thing?

Rove is the idiot who also believes that once illegals from Third World hellholes experience democracy they would enthusiastically embrace it.

ROTFL. A pipedream if there ever was on.

The invaders are now intent on turning the USA into a Third World using US tax dollars pocketed under faked multiple identities.

This is on orders from corrupt Mexico and South/Central American federales who are salivating to get their hands on US foreign aid billions.

The invaders keep flogging the dead DREAM ACT horse. It's become evident that within their secret enclaves, they've decided DREAM is the way to exert Third World power over US citizens and our govt, preparing for the takeover.

BUILDING A THIRD WORLD INSIDE THE US RULED BY MILITARY FORCE These stupid revolutionaries always makes me laugh out loud----they refer to Americans as "frail white people." They think b/c Americans are laid back that we are easy targets. They better think again.

They came here from poverty-stricken hovels, financed by corrupt Third World governments, the advance shock troops for what they think is a takeover that will rule by military force.

The invaders are clearly ill-equipped to exist under US democracy----within a world-class superpower under the rule of law.

Case after case clearly shows illiterate invaders, MS-13 gangs, and their savage cadres, are America-haters, invading the US to kill Americans. The FBT reports El Salvador's brutal MS-13 gangs saturating the US, have killed more US citizens than Al Quada killings all over the world.

Third World military juntas are attempting to undermine US justice. The juntas demand that the US Attorney suspend deportations of marauding latino criminals on US soil.

This presages the Third World they intend to build on US soil. The invaders are armed with a savage determination to take-back the SW (reconquista) by forming fraudulent voting blocs, using any means possible---scams that are patently illegal.

A world-class superpower governed by the rule of law is complex and sophisticated for primitive, illiterate Third Worlders, accustomed to military juntas patrolling the streets in camouflage and shoulder holsters.

These invaders are way out of their element and are unable to circum-navigate a world-class superpower, like America.

The savages are determined to decimate US cultiure and customs and our rule of law/

That ain't gonna happen.

===============================================

People suckered-in by the "here for a better life" scam should see this sign.

Rove is the idiot who also believes that once illegals from Third World hellholes experience democracy they would enthusiastically embrace it.

My question back to those like Rove (+McCain+ Graham-nesty) is how are you going to get legalized illegals who get the vote to support something like Ryan’s plan versus Obama’s ‘tax the rich’ plan.

I will agree with Rove in one sense. Republicans have NO plan for dealing politically with Hispanic voters who are a huge growing population. I could see this in NV race where Democrats motivated Hispanics to vote just to defeat Sharon Angle when Harry Reid was disliked by everyone there. Angle had no political strategy to deal with the Hispanic voters and thought playing up to (conservative) whites would be enough to win. She told her potential (NV) voters they were unemployed because they were basically lazy and other crazy stuff.

Republicans need some sort of message specifically to Hispanics to if nothing else wedge some of them from the Democrat party.

Losing elections is NOT winning

I believe the Republicans DO have a plan. Amnesty.

I believe they want to put a young well known hispanic star on the Presidential ticket this time. Maybe as VP. I am not sure about the eligibilty of this person, but hey, supposedly nobody in the heirarchy of either party cares.

None of the potentials has said that no amnesty will be granted. They talk about a pathway to citizenship, which is amnesty.

Both parties think that if it is their party that makes this possible they will be rewarded with the hispanic vote.

The democrats meeting like this is a way to try and force the issue before the election. A pure and simple ploy because they know that the GOP base is against amnesty and a tussle will be guaranteed.

So true.....and as the pols eye The so-called Prize (illegal latino votes) they are holding back a crucial fact.

There is NO chance that amnesty will pass since Americans of all stripes are virulently opposed to amnesty.

I can't argue your point above. They all dodge the issue mainly because they are scared of Hispanics in a presidential electoral vote/election.

But anmesty or dodging is only a short term electoral strategy for winning, and Republicans wont go along now with it anyway because of high unemployment, certainly not House Republicans. Obama is bringing this DOA issue up now for the same reason he did last fall, he is in campaign mode for 2012 and he wants to force Republican candidates to take a stand on it as we do.

I have a simple test for RINOs/Republicans proposing amnesty : “How are you going to get (poor uneducated) legalized illegals who get the vote to support something like Ryan’s privatize medicare and tax cut plan versus Obama’s ‘tax the rich’ plan?”. These people are perfect drones for Democrats to sell socialism to with : 'government will help you and your family NOW and you need it more than the rich', and to get Republicans to try to out-RINO them as we saw in 2007.

Hire Frank Luntz, have him do Hispanic focus groups and let's see what they want and what they respond to.

Illegals are perfect drones for Democrats to sell socialism to with arguments like: "government will help you and your family NOW and you need it more than the rich."........they will manipulate Republicans to try to out-RINO them as they did in 2007.

THE DREAM During the early Bush years - there were several stock arguments in support of Bush's ill-advised amnesty efforts : 1) illegals are needed to support Social Security, 2) Illegals are God's children, and, once they taste US freedom, they will enthusiastically embrace democracy, and, 3) illegals are natural Republicans and will be so gratified once they are naturalized they'll vote GOP in droves. (waiting for hysterical laughter to die down)

THE REALITY One invader who got US citizenship (with fraudulent documents) said: "I want to vote. It's time WE take action to shape the way the US is being run."

This is damn frightening. Think about it---law-breakers intend to remake the US---a country built on the rule of law. Foreign latino governments interfering in America policy presage the Third World they are building on US soil. Dominating and decimating the American way of life---our laws, customs and culture---is their chief goal.

WE'VE KNOWN THIS FOR A LONG LONG LONG TIME The federally funded La Raza are bigtime Marxist-socialists who detest America and Americans and march arm-in-arm with terrorists. These are the groups that McCain and Obamba sucked up to. Both candidates addressed the National Council of La Raza annual convention in San Diego.

CIRCA 2008----MALDEF AND NCLR TERM SENATE MINORITY LEADER’S BLOCKING OF CHAVEZ RESOLUTION AN AFFRONT TO THE LATINO COMMUNITY Washington, DC – The Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) and La Raza expressed anger over the US Senate’s failure to pass a resolution commemorating the birthday and honoring the legacy of noted labor and civil rights leader Cesar Chavez.

“Cesar Chavez is an icon in the Latino community, a World War II veteran, and a hero to many other Americans for his tireless efforts to bring dignity and respect to all workers, especially those who toil in our fields. He deserves to receive the highest honors and recognition this nation can provide, not to be the subject of political gamesmanship,” stated Janet Murguía, NCLR President and CEO and John Trasviña, MALDEF President.

The measure was blocked by Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) objection to the resolution.

Murguía and Trasviña continued, “To deny a great leader this congressional honor is a slap in the face to his family, to the Latino community, and to the millions in the US and around the world who continue his work and legacy today.” ### All Content © 2008 NCLR. All Rights Reserved.

Someone needs to start running ads in the black community, they’ve been badly effected by the bad economy and if Amnesty happens? they’ll be worse off economically.

Republicans need some sort of message specifically to Hispanics to if nothing else wedge some of them from the Democrat party.

On Fox "Special Report" yesterday Mara Liasson said that the GOP could do amnesty without the "path to citizenship."

1) Rewarding illegal behavior leads to more of the same.

2) Huge entitlement costs to add to obamacare and a growing part of the voters who pay no income tax but want more from the government, plus legal family-based immigration.

3) Thinking about bigger guest worker programs without a "path to citizenship?" Anchor babies and the courts make that approach just a slower form of amnesty.

The only argument I could make to Hispanics who want amnesty, is that all these forms of amnesty amount to killing the golden goose for themselves eventually, but by the time they realized that it would be too late.

RE :”On Fox “Special Report” yesterday Mara Liasson said that the GOP could do amnesty without the “path to citizenship

Congressional House Democrats would never go along with that and unemployment is too high for most Republicans to go for it now.

What she is missing is how to keep these people from being a net draw on the government =aid minus taxes: medicaid, public schools, food stamps, etc. I would make them prove they are in the group of people that are actually paying Federal income taxes (that 53%) , or boot them out. To be safe they should file W2 for >$70K of taxable income. You want them to make enough so income taxes bother them.

ANOTHER SOLUTION We know they're pocketing bigtime----under multiple identities. And many are registered to vote.

One state's solution was to send out letters to those registered to vote, asking for proof of citizenship---those who did not respond got booted.

I posted that idea last year in a comment on full amnesty but I said the income should be >$250K so they are demonized by Obama and Democrats for not ‘paying their fair share’ for busting their butts. That will make them vote against Democrats. Obviously they would have to have a W2 history of paying those taxes for years before the amnesty.

If Republicans just proposed this Democrats would dismiss it out of hand, but it would show the voters the Democrats ultimate goal: a welfare dependent voting serf class to keep them in power living the high life while Americans depend on food stamps.

That's one of the things she missed. But even if they paid taxes, I think the courts would rule that they must have a "path to citizenship," and unfortunately, having money does not guarantee that they won't vote for leftists. Think about who Wall Street supported in 2008.

RE :” That's one of the things she missed. But even if they paid taxes, I think the courts would rule that they must have a “path to citizenship,

I disagree. There is no way US Federal courts are going to tell the US congress who they must make a citizen. It's is not the same as these state courts ordering states to hand out marriage licenses. Citizenship criteria is clearly up to federal laws. Heck, states can still keep convicted felons from voting forever without the Federal courts interference.

RE :”and unfortunately, having money does not guarantee that they won't vote for leftists. Think about who Wall Street supported in 2008.

I thought of that. You are not going to see a mass of illegal-amnesty voters that are Donald Trumps/Romney's/Kerry's. I am thinking of the potential hispanic small business owner. I think illegal Hispanics that were demonized as ‘not paying their fair share’ of taxes by Democrats would become conservatives pretty fast, they already disapprove of same -sex marriage and to some extent abortion.

It's just a dream anyway, Republicans wont come up with anything.

I know certain liberal judges ruled that DADT was unconstitutional, but then last years congressional repeal made those rulings OBE.

But that is a far cry from the courts actually telling the military how they must integrate homosexuals. What always happens when a single court rules like this is liberals and RINOs insist that it is better to pass a new law giving in than waiting for the courts to make up the details. The same could happen over citizenship for illegals getting amnesty. Anything is possible with some of those Clinton/Obama judges.

I say #%%## it. Let the courts do their own dirty work, they dont elect the representatives. The SCOTUS would throw it out anyway.
