U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., says President Obama has neglected to clearly demonstrate he's eligible to hold his office, and says it would be simple for him to do so.
"It's an interesting issue that has gone on for so long and it's one that the president could have solved very early on," Bachmann told Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro last night.
"All he had to do is just answer some questions and show his [long-form birth] document and then have people do an attestation that this in fact is a legal document and it's over, it's done. And I think the president has neglected to focus on answering that question for people, and that's why a lot of people still have it lingering in their minds. None of us can prove, none of us can do attestation. Only the president and someone who is legally tasked with attesting to the validity of that document can do that, and I think that's what the president should do."
Bachmann, who is considering her own run for president next year, said, "One thing I know is that people have weighed President Obama in the balance, and he's been found wanting. I think we have a real opportunity to win back the White House. And again, it's not about a political party winning, it's about taking the country back. That's the bigger issue, and I think it's really gonna happen in 2012."

What it does, however, is offer one of the best ways to indicate complete attachment and loyalty (owed) to the country from birth.
There always have been, are...and will be exceptions to the way people act regardless of their current citizenship status, residency status, age or condition at birth.
The framers were very wise when they put the requirement in. They put the age requirement in, hoping to secure wisdom and experience in the executive branch. Is it possible for someone 30 to have more wisdom and executive related experience than someone 40? Of course. The residency requirement was put in so that the person would have a good understanding of the country, it's people and it's recent events. Does this mean that someone who has resided here only 10 years, moved abroad for 5...then come back will never have as good of an understanding of the countries needs as the former? Again, of course not. These requirements were put in to increase the "odds" of these favorable conditions and qualities in the people seeking the highest office in the country.

In today's world, we should heed their wisdom...and take it a step or two further. Did you know that during the debates on the ratification for the Constitution, many in the several states wanted to expand the NBC requirement into other offices (include state offices)? At the national level, it was voted down because at the time, most were concerned about the perceived negative affects it would have on immigration to the country. Back then....large, positive immigration into the country was something to attain as...generally speaking, the immigrants were either wealthy, well educated, well spoken, very industrious or all of the above and possibly more.
Count me out for lessening the requirement(s) for the Commander in Chief.
In fact, an argument on the grounds of national security could be made that the age requirement should be raised from 35 and the residency requirement should be increased from 14 years as a hedge against globalism and the anti-sovereignty movement(s).

Is the parent of an illegal alien "subject to the jurisdiction" of the United States? Yes, they are. They are not immune fro our laws such as a diplomat may have.
Anchor babies are, indeed, United States citizens.
The issue is that the child cannot sponsor the parents as lawful immigrants until the child is 21 years old. This means that child, while a US citizen, is not an anchor baby at all as that child cannot keep the parents from being deported. Several news stories have even tried to tug at heart strings by saying a US citizen child was deported with its illegal alein parents, trying to claim we were kicking out US citizens by kicking out the child.

Some founding fathers wanted absolute loyalty in the head office even to the point that they wanted to have a King instead of a President, thinking a blood line was necessary. Should we go with that? No way in Hell. The founding fathers knew from their personal experiences that the King of England had been claiming American citizens were British subjects. They wanted no more of that. They broke all ties to that line of logic. We don’t care who issues citizenship. We don’t recognize it. Never have, never will. US Citizens have the full protection of our government as US citizens. If some other government wants to give them priviledges as citizens, so be it, but they still answer as US citizens.
I’ll say this again: I do not believe in any way, shape, or form that Obama was born here. I do not believe his mother was overseas when she gave birth to him for any reason that would allow Obama to claim birthrights as a US citizen. I believe he has acted as a foreign student, operated under foreign passports, and is illegally using a bogus social security number and has with multiple numbers. If it ever proves out that he is not a US citizen, he and each and every individual that “certified” his Presidency needs to be hung in DC for sedition. I would gladly fight to personally pull that lever and I would want Nancy first!

Yes, I remember. Palin did come out with a lukewarm message of “You go Trump” or something similar, but still a long way from “birther” status. Michelle’s messages seem much stronger, since Trump’s meteoric rise in polling. Which I DO agree with, Trump has shown the way, and I’d like to see more of the Pubbie Pack chime in.

He could call a press conference today at twelve o'clock noon and announce that he was born on the planet Pluto and no one in a position of authority would lift a finger to remove him.
The focus should be on fighting voter fraud and voting him outof office in November 2012. If the voter fraud issue is dealt with, that can be done.
