Social Security claim vanishes from O'Reilly podcast
WND ^ | April 16,2011 | Bed_Zeppelin

Since Fox News host Bill O'Reilly erroneously claimed President Obama's Connecticut-issued Social Security number was likely the result of his father having "lived in Connecticut for several years," the cable news giant has apparently scrubbed the audio of the statement from its website.

In his viewer email segment Wednesday night, O'Reilly was asked by viewer John Knox of Arlington, Va.: "What about Obama having a Connecticut Social Security number? He never lived there."

"His father lived in Connecticut for several years," O'Reilly answered, adding that "babies sometimes get numbers based on addresses provided by their parents."

Another letter from Fox viewer Ken McFadden of LaGrange, Ga., asked: "O'Reilly, will you stake your professional reputation that Mr. Obama is constitutionally eligible to be president?"

"I will, Ken," answered O'Reilly.

But those questions and answers did not appear on a Fox News website podcast of the episode purchased, downloaded and audited by WND. In addition, a printed version of the question-and-answer exchange, above, on BillOReilly.com, a separate site, also left out the key question about Connecticut.

But it drives me crazy when O'Reilly constantly interrupts Miller and kills his rhythm just to make some quip that is never funny and usually reveals that O'Reilly didn't get the joke Miller just made. When Miller is on a roll Bill needs to shut up and let him go.

I thought I was the only one bothered by this. O'Reilly steps all over Miller's lines, and Miller is infinitely funnier than O'Reilly. I can't wait to watch the segments with Miller on Wednesdays--but I come away disappointed every time because O'Reilly can't keep his trap shut for more than eight seconds.

"(1) BOR is an idiot and poltroon."

Maybe "poltroon" should be O'Reilly's word of the day.

What occurred between Malkin and B’O Reilly?

Michelle quit.

She just couldn't take the bloviatng, hypocrisy and stupidity anymore.
It all came to a head during a debate about illegals when Bill's pal, Whorealdo - Lover Of Illegals, said Michelle was:

"the most vile, hateful commentator I've ever met …
It’s good she’s in D.C. and I’m in N.Y. I’d spit on her if I saw her.”

O'Reilly straddled the fence and didn't come to Michelle's defense, so she walked.

"O'Reilly, will you stake your professional reputation...

He has a "professional" reputation? "Investigator?" There aren't enough coughs in the world to verify that possibility.

I watch his show because he has the best guests.
I stopped watching regularly over a year ago primarily because BOR was becoming a real Zero @sskisser.
But secondarily, he has the SAME guests on again and again and again with the same BS POV ... that BOR constantly talks over anyway. Totally irritating, predictable and BORing.

O’Reilly and Fox are scrubbing stuff out?
Wow.. That is really cowardly and lame. How disappointing.

Babies did not get SSN’s in the 60’s. That is a recent development. Once again, O’R is an idiot.
Right on - both points.

It wasn't until 1987 that the IRS required social security numbers on Form 1040 for claiming exemptions for dependents, No reason before then to apply for a social security card for a child.

So the father in Connnecticut story doesn't wash.

Why his ratings are so high, I just don’t know.

Very few places we can go to at least hear the few conservatives he puts on once in a while. Even those guest are hard to watch because of the constant interrupting by this nitwit. I record the show and usually can stomach about 10 minutes and the rest I mute or speed past the crap.

I'm just looking out for my ratings.

More likely, O'Reilly and other hosts on FOX have had the "law" laid down to them by management: If you don't try to defend O against all claims that he is constitutionally ineligible to serve as president or that he has committed identity theft (i.e., do your best to marginalize the "birthers"), you will be gone from your job. So O'Reilly has to resort to historical revisionism regarding Obama Sr. to save his rear.

The only alternative is that O'Reilly really believes that Obama Sr. lived in CT and that the CT SSN number for Zero was applied for when Zeo was a baby. Don't think so; O'Reilly just made up those two blatant lies to satisfy his handlers. Now even someone at FOX is so teed off by O'Reilly's lies that they've been scrubbed.

As I posted on another thread a few days ago, this O'Reilly performance rivals Dan Rather's "Bush was AWOL from the National Guard" for journalistic fraud.

Thank you for pointing that out, patton. I was born in Florida and when my friend and I were hired for a two day job in Alabama, (16 years later,) we applied for a SS card. Our numbers are one digit apart and have the three Alabama numbers first. Parents didn’t acquire SS cards for children back then.

I don’t think it was impossible to get an infant a SSN in 1961 - but why would you bother? A lot of effort, no benefit.

Unless you were an illegal or something, and wanted to establish credentials for your anchor baby.

But then, you would use your current address (HI), not a previous one (CT)...

Hmmm. Something is off here...

YES!! to this “I would LOVE for Trump to prove O wasn’r born in the US”
or actually just to force 0dumbo to release the original.
Trump isn’t saying odumbo wasn’t brn in Hi, just that there must be somthing on 0dumbo’s original he doesn’t want voters to see.
If Trump forces that he is owed an apology.

BOR says something factually wrong on nearly every show and no one corrects him. He makes the other Fox people kiss his ass ad it makes me sick.
I watch the Judge on Fox biz now instead of BOR. Much better show

Still proud to say I have never watched BORe’s show for the whole hour.

I knew him from local tv in NYC and thought he was a phony then and he still is today.

Something is "off" in the entire history of 0bama. WTH would anyone spend millions to cover their past?
This is what the MSM should have been investigating instead of sucking up to this "Manchurian Candidate" back in 2008.

I don’t know. Producing a certified copy of my long-form BC would cost me a walk into the other room. Same goes for my DD-214, my SS card, passport, etc., and the like documents for all of my family.

It does seem odd.

Yeah, capitalists take advantage of opportunities. But most of them are honest about it.

FOX is honest about acknowledging its use of interns. My guess is that one of them dug up this "information" for Bill. Regardless, he owes it to the viewers to correct the error and admit he has no answer.
