Obama Exclusive: I Was Born in Hawaii and I Don’t 'Have Horns'
ABC News ^ | April 14, 2011 | George Stephanopoulos

Posted on 04/14/2011 4:47:28 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

I thought the president would take a pass when I asked him about Donald Trump’s rise to the top of the Republican field in my exclusive interview today.

Far from it.

He grabbed at the chance with a big smile – saying he thinks the whole issue will be a problem for Republicans.

“I think that over the last two and a half years there's been an effort to go at me in a way that is politically expedient in the short-term for Republicans. But [it] creates, I think a problem for them when they want to actually run in a general election where most people feel pretty confident the President was born where he says he was, in Hawaii. He-- he doesn't have horns…we're not really worrying about conspiracy theories or-- or birth certificates,” President Obama told me.

And in all my talks with Obama I think it was the first time he was one the same page as Karl Rove who thinks the “birther” controversy is hurting the GOP.

“The truth of the matter is that I think that the vast majority of Americans across the country – Democratic or Republican – really want this election to be about growing the economy, getting control of the deficit, preparing the future for our kids. And my suspicion is that anybody who is not addressing those questions…Is going to be in trouble. I think they may get a quick pop in the news. They may get a lot of attention. But ultimately, the American people understand this is a serious, sober time,” he told me....

Why the third person?

I thought of that exact same thing! I think it is because 0dumbo the RAT bastard socialist commie pig-in-chief, views himself in some detached, abstract, aloof "other worldly" way! As in "My ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thought."

It reminds me of the Seinfeld episode when Elaine was going out with "Jimmy" who always referred to himself in the 3rd person... and then George Costanza was doing it as well... Hilarious episode! At least that intended to be humorous. With 0dumbo, it is a way of life.

I'm not seeing a quote here. It looks like Snuffaluffagus is telling us what he said.

The more the media disses Trump about this the more it will piss him off. Unlike others who have tried to make waves with it, he actually has the resources and media access to hit back.

I want say it’s a slam dunk, but if anybody is going to get the goods on Obamalini it will be Trump.

Obama, using your own criteria, you are batting 0 for 3! EPIC FAIL!

TMMT - just a question...
on all these birther threads where you state that “..Trump better have the goods...or ALL Republicans will lose credibility...”, why don’t you ever say, “Well, Obama better show us the goods...” or “Well, the Governor of Hawaii, who said he’d prove it once and for all, better show the goods...or they will lose credibility...”?

Obama is NOT dealing with these issues, and that is most of the reason he is so low in the polls.

He has repeatedly joked about it hoping that ridicule will silence any real inquiry by the MSM into the issue or being brought up by any establishment GOP leader. The "birther" term was developed for the same reason that the "denier" label has been used to silence or marginalize anyone who questions manmade global warming/climate change.

Obama is commiting fraud in broad daylight, much to the amusement of his supporters.

Yes, it’s a Constitutional issue that only about 15% of nutjobs think happened. He was born in Hawaii. End of story. Can we concentrate on kicking this guy to the curb rather than this silliness?

His mom was an American, there are multiple announcements in a Hawaii newspaper AT THAT TIME of his birth, certification of live birth, etc, etc. Way too much evidence to suggest anything other than born in Hawaii. Yes, it’s not 100% concrete, but it leans so strongly to the fact that he did and we’re looking like nutjobs bringing this up.

No wonder so many independents and Reagan Democrats don’t vote Republican any more.

Drudge currently (Friday morning) has as his main photo a picture of Obama putting on a Chicago Bulls hat—the bull has horns, of course. Too funny!

Obama is correct. It’s not about his BC nearly as much as it’s about his father’s citizenship, whoever his father might be (and that is information his BC might reveal . . . or not).

“...I don’t have horns...”

Nah, you’re right, FuBO...no horns. Just a big, fat red hammer and sickle.

Trump is now living rent-free inside the marxist’s littel clown-eared head - just like Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin.

I doubt that Trump wants to be the next Geraldo (Capone’s vault). He will become a laughing stock if all of his big talk turns out to be just that. He’s a man that values his reputation as a smart guy and he’s putting a lot on the line to go after the fraud in the WH.

Another fawning performance by the MSM.

And people wonder why Trump is rising in the polls?
