Supreme Court justice David Prosser has picked up more than 7,381 votes in Waukesha County, a conservative county outside of Milwaukee, as part of the statewide canvass following the election for Supreme Court on Tuesday. The total gives Prosser a comfortable lead as the canvass continues Friday.
The error came when Waukesha County clerk Kathy Nickolaus failed to save some 14,000 votes that came from wards in Brookfield before passing the vote total along to the Associated Press. County officials discovered the mistake Wednesday and shared the information with state election officials on Thursday. Prosser won Waukesha County with more than 70 percent of the vote there.
Wisconsin sources say that the paper trail on the votes will be obvious and difficult for anyone to dispute. Either votes from Brookfield were counted in the initial tally or they werent. Still, the discovery of the extra votes is sure to stoke the embers of the heated battles that have taken place across the state over the past two months, particularly because Nickolaus, the woman at the center of the controversy, is a Republican activist. A posting on the website of the Republican Women of Waukesha County indicates that Kathy Nickolaus recently served as president of that group.
But several sources have pointed to questions about her competence in the past. In August, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that her superiors ordered an audit of the county clerk's election equipment and system beginning with the September primary despite several memos she sent to the committee over the weekend defending her practices and resisting the move.
Thanks; I was unaware that the incorrect spreadsheet was sent to the Accountability Board.
Thanks for the info. This looks like a very clean mistake. Let the union Rats burn another 1 mill of their workers money recounting. It looks too far out for their cheating now.
Jon Stewart has a segment named "Polishing a t*rd," IOW trying to make bad news sound like good news. They could say, "Well, Klingonburger overcame a 40 point deficit and almost won."
I am psychic! That's pretty much what chief tu*d polisher Ed (Last name Schultz I think) said!

Send that gasbag and email: “We won. Now get in the back seat and STFU like a good little loser.”
Where would she have been heading if driving through Florida?
They bring a Trunkfull of “found” ballots...We bring an entire City full.
Another interesting development on msnbc. They are b*tching about Trump allowed to have a show on nbc (one of the few they have that makes money) while he is questioning Obama’s birth certificate.
Seriously if the democrats of Wisconsin want to pay for union fees and demands let them! Just make them do it alone.
Yet another admission that NBC is in the tank for the rats.
Thanks!
I didn’ realize that some areas in WI voted for other offices on Tuesday.
Voting for a judge only when there are mayoralty and/or county executive contests on the ballot is very strange indeed.
I fell asleep around 9 and missed all the good stuff (including baseball, dammit).
How did the kook shows go? Did you get a chance to watch?
We'll see. They hate his attacks on Obama, but as I said, Trump's show is one of the few money makers nbc has. They may abandon their ideology in this case to find an excuse to keep him.
I thought that Dane And Waukesha were playing “chicken” just based on the numbers which had been published. Some of the purists here attacked me for that but it is just smart to use some light “guerrilla” tactics against lefty cheaters.
(Although in this case is looks more like simple human error.)
Playing it straight with them never seems to work, as Norm Coleman and Dino Rossi can attest (among others).
Letting the left run wild at election time is hardly “supporing democracy.” When their foul tactics are employed, the will of the people is obscured and elections are flat-out stolen.
And then WE get the blame for it.
What babies they(lefties) are.
Didn’t they push for an end to exit polling after Kerry’s exit numbers turned out to be much better than his actual numbers?
The only difference being that the ‘rats hold back FAKE votes.
Waukesha’s votes were REAL.
“This isnt going to go anywhere for Kloppenburg”
I hope you are right, MM.
From the outside looking in, it seems like every state dept in WI is dominated by union goons.
Reminds me of the old days in the South. A Klansman literally could get away with cold-blooded murder due to corrupt judges and biased juries.
That has been disproven pretty definitely.
Check out Gerald Posner’s book from the ‘90’s. “Case Closed,” I think it is called.
LBJ was a no good corrupt two-faced SOB but murder and political assasination were not his specialties.
Now, Jimmy Hoffa and Carlos Marcello-—that suspicion has a little more substance behind it.
Judge Sumi set a very bad precedent which can only help animate the ‘rats to try to undo elections and legislation whenever they possibly can. Or even THINK they can, which means pretty much always.
I’ve seen some places in the union bag but Wisconsin seems to be in a class by itself.
