Updated vote count puts Prosser over Kloppenburg in Supreme Court race

MADISON, Wis. (AP)—

Updated election returns posted on a Wisconsin county's website would flip the winner of the Wisconsin Supreme Court race.

The Associated Press verified unofficial Winnebago County election returns on Wednesday morning but the county updated its numbers at 2:27 that afternoon to show incumbent Justice David Prosser with 710 more votes and assistant attorney general JoAnne Kloppenburg with 466 more. The county is now canvassing results to make them official as is every one of the state's 72 counties. But if the numbers hold up, Prosser would be ahead of Kloppenburg by 40 votes.

Kloppenburg was so quick to declare victory. I think she may have been to hasty! :)

Feel assured that in the days and weeks to come lots of “uncounted votes” for Kloppenburg will be “found”.

As exciting as this may be ... don't celebrate too soon. The democrats haven't discovered a trunk full of missing ballots yet. Cautiously optimistic ...

Maybe the Republicans will follow the lead of the Dems in Minnesota and recount till Prosser wins, then end it. Or maybe they can find boxes of votes for Prosser that were misplaced so that the number of people voting in a district outnumbers the actual residence by about 10%.
It would be great fun to watch the Dems complain when their tactics are used against them.

Let’s adopt the liberal method now: game over, stop counting, that is it. Done.

I lived in Wisco for nearly a decade and am now south of the cheddar curtain—in Illinois, so I am painfully aware of what is coming. :(

Just enjoying Kloppenburg looking like an idiot declaring victory and now the seesaw tips for Prosser ;)

BTW, my screen name is bushwon in remembrance of the vote count fiasco in Florida.

LOL, the Wisco Republicans are going to have to get a whole lot more savvy to win this battle!

We should take odds on whether it will be a trunkload of uncounted ballots or a voting machine that failed to get tabulated.

“It would be great fun to watch the Dems complain when their tactics are used against them.”

Not really.

The Democrats have never used those tactics before, and I can prove it by pure logic: Those tactics are wrong. The Democrats are never wrong. Therefore the Democrats never used those tactics. Unless they did. But if they did, those tactics were not wrong. Because it would have been the Democrats that did them, and the Democrats are never wrong.

Anyone who claims the Democrats ever did use those tactics is just trying to falsely paint the democrats as bad guys. Even though it would not be bad for them to use those tactics, because Democrats are not bad.

Anyone who claims to “remember” that the Democrats used those tactics in the past is “remembering” something that never happened in a dishonest attempt to accuse the Democrats of doing something that wouldn’t have been bad if they’d actually did it because they would have done it for the right reasons.

We have always been at war with Eastasia.
