Washington (CNN) – Self-proclaimed birther Donald Trump is now so doubtful of President Obama's birthplace that he's sent a team of his own investigators to Hawaii in hopes of getting to the bottom of the issue.
That's according to Trump himself, who, in an interview with NBC, warned his investigators just might uncover "one of the greatest cons in the history of politics and beyond."
"I have people that have been studying it and they cannot believe what they're finding," Trump said an interview that aired Thursday Morning.
Asked if he has assigned people specifically to search in Hawaii, Trump said, "Absolutely."
The business mogul, who in a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll is tied for second place among potential presidential candidates, also suggested the president is involved in an ongoing cover-up over the matter.
"He spent $2 million in legal fees trying on to get away from this issue, and if it weren't an issue, why wouldn't he just solve it?" he said. "I wish he would because if he doesn't, it's one of the greatest scams in the history of politics and in the history, period. You are not allowed to be a president if you're not born in this country. Right now, I have real doubts."

Yes, I did see that, although I didn’t realize that was whose it was. Yes, that triply confirms that they issue them, in addition to the video of the woman ordering one at the HDOH office and being told she’d get it in a couple weeks AND Danae’s.
I’m sure the media will correct their statements and ridicule of “birthers” on that particular question in 5, 4, 3, 2.....
I noticed that the validating date stamp and Onaka’s signature stamp are on the FACE of the birth certificate, not on the back as on Obama’s Factcheck COLB.
And it’s interesting that we can’t see a seal on it. Seems like the HDOH may be trying to hide what their seal looks like...
I requested copies of some UIPA requests and responses from 2009, certified for submission as evidence in a US and Hawaii court of law. Within a couple of days of receiving my request via the hdohinfo e-mail address the HDOH got rid of that e-mail address. Went to a web form. So I resubmitted the request via web form. They’ve ignored both requests, the first of which I sent almost 2 months ago, and the web form less than a week after I sent the e-mail.
I’ve appealed to the OIP for help and they tried to put me off the trail by waiting until the last of their 10 days to respond, and then saying that e-mailed UIPA requests are erased after a month. I told them I had already been around the block on that particular obfuscation and know that the UIPA requests and responses are photocopied and filed under the requestor’s name, which is why I specifically asked for paper copies of them before the requests are destroyed because their 2-year retention period has expired.
That was Monday that I responded to them and I haven’t heard anything back. They won’t even say that they will help me. Just like another request that I actually snail-mailed to the HDOH and they won’t respond to - just for copies of specific birth index pages.
So anyway. Seems like they’re trying to crawl into the woordwork. I told the OIP that if I didn’t get what I had requested in timely fashion I would report everybody to the Ombudsman - not that he/she would do anything but that it would give me evidence to post on my blog regarding the way things are run in HI.
And I said that if the UIPA requests and responses I asked for are destroyed before I can get copies because of the obfuscation of the HDOH and OIP, I will press to have them charged with obstruction of justice for the destruction of records they knew were for a potential lawsuit, which is a felony.
I’m tired of playing nice. These people are not being paid to be racketeers, and somehow they need to be held accountable for the fact that that’s what they are. Issa is on the trail of DHS for the same kind of crap, but what’s he ultimately going to do? Unless he starts throwing people in jail the whole rule of law is just a vain threat that these people don’t even PRETEND to fear any more.

She even makes a comment on this photo that religion is not on the form.

Agree there may be something to that — her supporters have never stopped kvetching about this entire issue but Zero probably had enough dirt on her and on Bill to shut them up.
The timing of all this interests me — first we hear from Hillary a week or so ago that she will definitely not continue as Sec of State in any second Obama term, nor will she run for any office. Hmmm. Clearing the way for Trump to pipe up with this questioning.
I think Trump and Clintons are in cahoots to some degree and Trump has no real intention of running for office — rather will continue unveiling any Obama fraud and paving the way for a Hillary ‘run’ in ‘12 after all.
Of course, everything is just speculation on our part, but...
There's an outside chance that Trump is such a megalomaniac that he honestly thinks the political system would permit him to come away with the GOP primary, but that ain't gonna happen.
Simplest explanation is also the most likely. He's always been in Hillary's camp, and the rumors about Obama's eligibility have always emanated from Hillary's camp, and this time is just more of the same.
Its an outside possibility that Hillary would let Trump be her VP as a "cross-party" ticket.

I’d rather Donald was using his media pull to talk about great conservatives in New York than about this potential time bomb.

If trump succeeds in uncovering an Obama con job, then he will have done a huge service to America - maybe even one bigger than that of becoming the next president of the United States.
No matter what he finds, the 0bama regime will prosecute him for finding it. Invasion of privacy, accessing of classified records -- are crimes. Trump is not too rich to take down, and they will if he gets anywhere near truth or traction in this quest.

Some humility goes a long way. Just tell it like it is. Say I didn’t look at or knew the difference between Certificat_ion and certificate and move on.
When you move on you should question the no-paper-trail business that’s going on...just show the documents Mr. President and shut your detractors up!

Trump has surrounded himself with bodyguards for eons — I saw him with wife Marla Maples eons ago, walking thru Beverly Hills with a cadre of security guards. I would imagine this has increased significantly over time.

Personally, I have long thought the threat of a race-based civil war breaking out if Obama was proven to be a fraud and dethroned was enough to keep all the talking heads in check on the eligibility issue.
