Yes, and much of this is coordinated by the Talibs in Aghanistan and the AQ in Saudi Arabia. The push for this effort in London is going out via the Taliban.

Report:Hezbollah, Iran planning attacks

BEIRUT, Lebanon, April 13 (UPI) — Hezbollah and Iranian Revolutionary Guard operatives are planning attacks on western targets in the coming days, a Lebanese report said.

The report was based on information gathered by western intelligence agencies monitoring the “recent abnormal movements of cadres suspected of belonging to Hezbollah or the Iranian Revolutionary Guard,” the Beirut Observer Web site said Tuesday...

Jordan - Salafi Jihadist Escalate Protests, Call for Prisoners' Release

AMMONNEWS - The Salafi Jihadist movement in Jordan on Friday repeated their demands for the government to release prisoners who are followers of the movement, giving the government an ultimatum until Monday before escalating their measures.

The demands came during a demonstration organized by the movement following Friday prayers in front of Irbid's Grand Mosque, amidst heavy security presence.

A number of Salafi leaders said in speeches that the political reforms in Jordan are "insufficient," and called for an establishment of an Islamic state governed by Islamic law.

Brief clashes took place during the demonstration when counter protestors hailed verbal attacks at the Salafi movement, but were soon contained.

A number of protestors blamed security agencies for the clashes, charging that the counter protestors were brought in an effort to break up the demonstration.

The speakers called on the government to release followers of the movement from Jordanian prisons, threatening to stage a "massive protest" on Tuesday at the Interior Ministry Circle if the prisoners are not released by Monday.

Protestors chanted slogans denouncing "oppressive measures" to silence freedoms, and called on the Jordanian government to close the Israeli embassy in Amman and stop all forms of normalization with the "Zionist" state, according to their statements.

A trial of eight people accused of spreading Islamist propaganda over the internet opened in Munich on Tuesday. Prosecutors say the defendents used internet forums and blogs to call for a holy war.
Seven men and one woman are accused of inciting terrorism and releasing brutal videos of bombings and beheadings as part of the German section of a group known as the "Global Islamic Media Front."

According to the federal prosecutor, the suspects published German translations of Al-Qaeda propaganda material as well as their own material on the internet between August 2006 and March 2008, in order to attract new members and support for terrorist organizations abroad.

The defendants are now all between 18 and 30 years old, but some of them were minors at the time. Most had never met before the trial, relying on the internet to communicate from their homes across Germany.

Attorney for the defense Nicole Lehmbruck said that the prosecution was making an example out of the young people.

"The prosecution obviously wants to show that young people, too, are responsible for the content of what they post online," Lehmbruck said. "But we'll see how the trial develops."

But the German prosecutor said he was disinclined to handle charges of inciting terrorism lightly, especially after a Muslim man suspected of having been radicalized shot two US airmen at Frankfurt airport last month.

"We see Islamist internet propaganda as the most dangerous tool currently in the hands of Jihadi international terrorism," said prosecutor Michael Bruns, "and that's why we want to set a clear line in the sand."

The defendants face a maximum sentence of 15 years, but four have already confessed and may be sentenced separately.

The trial is set to run through May 19th.

Well, Gilani is supposedly a sufi but that doesn't matter. He's a sunni too, and under Musharraf he was deeply involved with ISI, to the point of being their back room guy for Kashmir and the brinksmanship there.

we have lots of material on him and his stupid movement in the US, down to their "security company" front in Carolina, with their roots right back to ISI.

Very good article, that one. The Saudis are genetically extremely, fantastically unique. To aim a 100% effective plaque at them is probably fairly easy. As for the others, if inbreeding is a large factor, they may be pretty well-painted targets too.

The salafists are an umbrella for ALL the disparate groups in islam. jihad is the tie that binds. gilani calls himself a sufi, but he is as much wahabi as any sunni ever was. salafi is pure and evil islam. 14th century sword and blood and terror islam. The dawa and ummah and all that. It is what brings all of islam together to fight the infidel. And it is still growing. It is probably the most dangerous movement ever to exist on planet earth. Major funding from the saudis. But now funding from its rival for power, iran.
It’s what you see going on over there right now disguised as a freedom movement. sunni, shia, deciding which controls he ummah.
It is beccoming clear that we have chosen to side with the purist of pure evil, shia iran. The sauds are not happy with us.

This is where Alikhan spoke? He was comfortable with this terror talk?

Why Alikhan? DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano noted Alikhan’s “broad and impressive array of experience in national security, emergency preparedness and counterterrorism.” I am not sure what she is talking about (neither is she, I am sure.) 

Back in 2007, Alikhan was instrumental in removing the Muslim terror tracking plan in LA.
