IIRC, isn’t the salafist movement connected to gilani in pakistan? Jamaat? Maybe I should post the backlinks to the previous articles on gilani on an earlier TM thread. Time passes and things get forgotten.

Well, Gilani is supposedly a sufi but that doesn't matter. He's a sunni too, and under Musharraf he was deeply involved with ISI, to the point of being their back room guy for Kashmir and the brinksmanship there.

we have lots of material on him and his stupid movement in the US, down to their "security company" front in Carolina, with their roots right back to ISI.
