Potential 2012 GOP presidential contender Donald Trump is doubling down on his call for President Barack Obama to produce a birth certificate, saying “facts are emerging” that have raised a “real question” as to whether Obama is constitutionally eligible to serve as president.
The president has spent “millions of dollars” in legal fees to “trying to get away from this issue,” Trump said.
The billionaire’s remarks came Monday morning in an exclusive interview with "Fox & Friends" co-hosts on Fox News.
Trump said that, when he initially raised the issue last week on ABC’s "The View," he believed Obama was born in the United States and should simply produce the birth certificate to clear up any questions.
As recently as Thursday, Trump told Newsmax in an exclusive interview: “I assume that Obama was born in the United States. I assume he was probably born in Hawaii.”

If I am not wrong, it is not the issue today, but it was in 1961 when Obummer was born - Citizenship Law was changed around 1962.
I don’t really care who he is working for. What I care about is the REALLY shady dude living in OUR house. I want him gone before he got elected. Since he WAS elected, anything, anything that throws a monkeywrench into his REelection is fine by me. Trump, forward, march! Hut! Hut! Hut!

This is true. On another Trump thread, I was reminded that the MSM were under orders to NOT REPORT anything about Certifigate. There was a thread this weekend concerning an article written about how the president of CNN stated that the birther issue was over and done. A dead issue.
The article was from 2009.
Try as hard as they can to suppress Certifigate - there always seems to be this pesky thing known as THE TRUTH that keeps emerging.
Hey - skeptics may be right. Abercrombie (and now Trump) may be useful fools being played by Obama to disinform the masses. But polls are showing this: More and more Americans do not believe Obama’s version of what happened.
And that’s a good thing.
Even if he is who cares? If he's right he's a hero and saved the Constitution. If he's wrong...well..he's still Donald Trump. There's no downside.

He went where no-body had the nerve to go....now all of a sudden, a ‘birther’ is no longer a 4 letter word. Its funny to see all the ‘back benchers’ take the rope and start pulling now that door has been tweaked open by someone with more fortitude.
Even in Obama’s words “I am not an American, I was not born in Hawaii, I was born in Kenya”. Its too bad that we have to fight against the media, but having to fight against our own government to protect our US constitution is really a sorry state of affairs.
He has also said that G.W. Bush had to produce his birth certificate. Any validity to that? I don’t recall that happening. At least publicly.

Obama needs to prove he’s eligible. So far he hasn’t.
Its terrific someone as high-profile as Trump is calling him out. Nor does he care what the LSM thinks of him, and he can’t be just dismissed as a “kook birther”.
The birth issue isn’t silliness. And so what if he’s working for Hillary? She’s a thousand times preferable to the Kenyan usurper.
Interesting. Trump would be a fool to raise the question unless he knows, and can prove, the answer. It’s hard to believe Trump has found the smoking gun after so many others have tried and failed. But it’s also hard to believe he’s that big a fool.
