Potential 2012 GOP presidential contender Donald Trump is doubling down on his call for President Barack Obama to produce a birth certificate, saying facts are emerging that have raised a real question as to whether Obama is constitutionally eligible to serve as president.
The president has spent millions of dollars in legal fees to trying to get away from this issue, Trump said.
The billionaires remarks came Monday morning in an exclusive interview with "Fox & Friends" co-hosts on Fox News.
Trump said that, when he initially raised the issue last week on ABCs "The View," he believed Obama was born in the United States and should simply produce the birth certificate to clear up any questions.
As recently as Thursday, Trump told Newsmax in an exclusive interview: I assume that Obama was born in the United States. I assume he was probably born in Hawaii.

He is just working for Hillary, stop posting the silliness
“New Facts”?
That Obama has spent millions of dollars hiding his birth certificate?
New to the Donald, perhaps. But true birthers have known this for years.
Keep going Donald, I support you 100%. Take it to ‘em.
Yeah, but the MSM never printed them. However, if Donald Trump says it, then it is news, and they might have to print them.
LOL! Rock and roll, Donald baby!
“You’re fired up!”
Hey . . . I don’t care who Trump is working for. Anyone that is willing to take down Obama is ok in my book. We don’t have to vote for Trump or Hillary, but it would sure be a relief to see Obama in our rear view mirror.
This may be our best hope at this juncture. It just isn’t clear that the United States could survive two more years of this government.
What happens when Trump hears about FMD?
Donald Trump is just fine as a sacrificial anode. He’s got enough media presence to bring this to the fore and the resulting MSM ridicule will end his bid for the GOP nomination. He’s not closely associated with the GOP, so I don’t see a high risk of collateral damage to the brand. It all works for me.
Saw it this morning on Fox & Friends: http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/fox-friends/index.html#/v/4611145/what-trump-wants-to-hear-from-obama-on-libya/?playlist_id=86912
Go Trump! I’m glad someone of his stature is able to bring this to the forefront and get more eyes (and ears) on this subject. I mean, after all, it is a VERY valid concern and it’s about time more people start questioning and holding Obama (and Co.) accountable. IMO
I knew from the beginning that Trump has a “trump” card. There is no way he would draw this line in the sand unless he knows where it is going.
Don’t stop there Donald - ask why we can’t see Obama’s school records, his SAT score, his college transcripts, any Harvard Law Review writings, his law-firm records, his IL Senate records.....
Is that you Beck?
Actually, today when asked if he believed Obama was born in the US Trump said at first he did, but now has doubt’s.
Nice to find and AFTER-Birther with so many years on FR.
Me, I will take the truth where ever I find it.
TEN REASONS WHY ITS COMPLETELY REASONABLE TO DOUBT PRESIDENT OBAMAS PARENTAGE AND SUSPECT HIS REAL FATHER IS FRANK MARSHALL DAVIS

There are some interesting patterns developed on this article.
Wonder if the Trumpster is a closet Freeper?
We can worry about knocking Hillary out (yes, I believe she's running) after we topple Obamba.
I don’t trust Trump either. Judging by his recent comments about Hillary, etc., whatever he is, it isn’t what I am. He may be right on a few items, like Obama’s birth certificate, which he throws out as red meat for those of us on the right, so he can “run to the middle” hoping to get the Repub nomination, but he is no true conservative, nor Republican.
