Trump: Bush probably worst U.S. president (Donald Trump Pumping Hillary for Commander in Chief)
World Net Daily ^ | March 16, 2007

Posted on 03/27/2011 9:11:49 PM PDT by reasonisfaith

Businessman and "Apprentice" television star Donald Trump blasted President George Bush today, calling him "probably the worst president in the history of the United States," and blaming his 2004 victory on the Democrat ticket.

Appearing on CNN's "Situation Room," Trump was asked by host Wolfe Blitzer his opinion of Democrat presidential candidate John Edwards.

"I don't know him," Trump answered. "People like him. I know people that like him very much, but I really don't know him."

Trump went on to say that Edward's experience as John Kerry's 2004 running mate was a negative in his estimation.

"Well, I think that's a huge negative, because that was a shame that that race was lost, because look what we have right now," Trump said. "It's a disaster. So, you know, I would probably be inclined not to like him on the basis that he lost an election that should have been won. That election should have been won."

Trump noted that the blame fell on Kerry as well.

"He's a friend of mine. But I'm so upset that he blew it," he said.

"I think Bush is probably the worst president in the history of the United States. And I just don't understand how they could have lost that election."

Asked about Hillary Clinton, Trump praised the former first lady, saying he thought she was ready to be commander-in-chief.

For the last 3 days, reason has been following me around on threads I posted trashing Trump and campaigning for Palin... Saying that Trump is trying to take votes away from Palin... Trump is out to get Palin.

Now who's the paranoid one. I'm in a bit of a mood tonight and sick of reason hounding our threads, so turn about is fair play. And YES, I do admit to having a bit of obsessive compulsive disorder when I make mistakes in typing and don't catch it on spell check.

You put it together well. All we need is another Perot to foul up an already precarious situation. They know it’s unlikely we’ll have another McCain/Dole type so they’ll got the third party way. Hitlery could pull it off, too. Trump would take enough “Country Club” republicans away from a good, conservative candidate, etc, etc..

Trump apparently spews a lot of ignorant BS and lies. I can’t think of one thing that 0bama is better at than George W. Bush.

Let me see; Trump has a history of (1)making his money by using the leverage of other people’s money and (2)getting his projects so indebted that often he remains owner in name only, while his creditors take over, gaining something less than $dollar for $dollar of their investment; while, with his ego intact he goes on to the next highly leveraged project to profit from. Is that what anyone would want in a POTUS? He’s a super-ego, braggart, bully and politically ignorant man.

Donald Trump is a big businessman, we can all agree. Like big bankers and other big financiers, they walk on political eggshells throughout their working careers when it comes to politics. They give money to both sides on the hopes that they will be left alone to make their money and their careers in peace without legislative interference, regulatory restrictions, and other politically detrimental moves that will adversely affect their businesses. And they all have good reason to worry, as that is exactly what politicians so often do, harrass business.

So, the Donald would say nice things about both sides, contribute to both sides, to cover his business interests from attack. Hence his contributions to Rahm Emanuel, who the Donald knew would become Mayor of Chicago, where Trump has real estate interests, including a Chicago Trump Tower. He’s no fool.

Slightly off subject, but nevertheles with some similarities, Dwight Eisenhower as a military commander, stayed out of politics, never showing his hand while in the military as required. However, as a desirable political candidate, he was courted by both sides and chose Republican. Sometimes you don’t show your political hand until after your primary career is pretty much over. Trump was a registered Pub for quite a few years, and then dropped off politically for some years (as it was the business-wise smart thing to do) before picking up again as a registered Pub in 2009. He is now weighing a possible actual political career and has come down firmly on the Pub side of the scale. Because, I believe, he can’t stand Obama’s policies, in particularly in the area of foreign trade, finances, and business in general.

Now, Trump is no dumb bunny. He, in typical Trump fashion, decides to make a splash to get attention. Hence he brings up the Birther issue. However, I don’t believe that is his only reason. He smells a rat. He smells a fraud, and that fraud is Obama. Plus, he hates how Obama has been picking on the business community of which he is one.

Now you can loathe him or you can love him. You can vote for him if he ever even announces his attentions to actually run for the Presidency, or you don’t have to. However, right now I hope he continues to speak on the Birther issue and keeps it in the forefront of the news as much as possible so that others will be less afraid to tackle the issue in public until the truth comes out. And, in spite of whatever baggage Trump may have, I would be willing to wager that if by some total fluke of fate Trump ever became President, that he would pan out to be a pretty good one because of his business acumen. But that’s for each of you to ascertain. For the moment, I’m on the side of Trump doing precisely what he is doing, so that the truth about Obama will out. We all know that Obama was a true Manchurian candidate, and is now our Manchurian President. He must be exposed and if Trump is a vehicle to aid in that endeavor, bully.

It will be interesting to see if any talk show hosts have the vision, or something else, to tackle this.

I’m looking for the candidate who will stand up to Wall St. Trump ain’t it. And this latest rant of his makes me question his coherence. On Obama’s BC and China, I agree but this guy isn’t firing on enough cylinders idealogically for me to take him seriously.

But I can’t get past the fact that when true conservatives were frantically trying to spread the idea that Obama was a disaster, Trump thought Obama was a good idea.

For this reason, and the fact that Trump liked Hillarycare, I am fully convinced Trump is another empty suit, no better than Obama. Our problems are so bad, the only way to fix them is to elect leaders who have rejected the fraud from the beginning. This means no rinos, and no slick businessmen.

If you have no moral grounding, you can transform from a Donald Trump to a Barack Obama in no time.

If Trump saw Obama four years ago as highly successful with such great potential, he must be sort of stupid.

Unless he’s lying. I don’t see any other options here.

“If you have no moral grounding, you can transform from a Donald Trump to a Barack Obama in no time.”

Well, it’s a funny thing about Trump. He’s been more of a vertical philanderer rather than a horizontal one. He gets married, for a long time actually, to Ivana Trump. When in midlife crisis (as far as I can tell) he strays to Marla Maples, and marries her. He didn’t have to, but he does. Then, when it ends with Marla, he falls for his current wife, and marries her too. This is a man who wants a married life, and seems to love children. I must say his two children by Ivana have turned out very well, and are hard workers in their own right, just as Donald’s father was, and Donald himself. Donald is a very good capitalist, as was his father before him, and his own children now. His two children appear to be straight arrows. Donald had a very conservative upbringing and I blieve as he has gotten older, those values are coming to the forefront. And I believe the Donald is a patriot who loves his country. And he doesn’t like the turn it has taken under this socialist/marxist President. Donald is a complicated individual, not so easily pegged in black and white statements.

In personality, whenever I think of Trump, I think of P. T. Barnum. Both of them sure knew how to sell their product to the public.

Yes, I believe he loves the same Country I love...

Trump, by NE standards, made strong Conservative statements regarding the unborn and marriage. I wholly respect that “risk of political capital” — he did not need to say anything, but he said otherwise.

This would explain his attack on 0bama’s birth certificate.

It’s to help Hillary.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

As a small business person I testify that even decisions that seem simple, such as making a street one-way, timing of road repairs, or getting permission to put in a “curb cut” to allow entrance to a business, can make or break a business.

It is never a good idea to have political figures mad at you.

Consider that a Lesson Learned, any Hack knows all they need to get support from Conservatives right now is to Mention Birth Certificate,we all have to be more sophisticated than that. Fool Me once shame on You, Fool Me 5 million times shame on Me.
Are we sick and tired of Voting for the Lesser of two evils yet? If Obama allows us to have an election in 2012 there had better be a True Conservative running on a ticket and I dont care what the title is or I will stay home for the first time in Decades, enough is enough
