Trump: Bush probably worst U.S. president (Donald Trump Pumping Hillary for Commander in Chief)
World Net Daily ^ | March 16, 2007

Posted on 03/27/2011 9:11:49 PM PDT by reasonisfaith

Businessman and "Apprentice" television star Donald Trump blasted President George Bush today, calling him "probably the worst president in the history of the United States," and blaming his 2004 victory on the Democrat ticket.

Appearing on CNN's "Situation Room," Trump was asked by host Wolfe Blitzer his opinion of Democrat presidential candidate John Edwards.

"I don't know him," Trump answered. "People like him. I know people that like him very much, but I really don't know him."

Trump went on to say that Edward's experience as John Kerry's 2004 running mate was a negative in his estimation.

"Well, I think that's a huge negative, because that was a shame that that race was lost, because look what we have right now," Trump said. "It's a disaster. So, you know, I would probably be inclined not to like him on the basis that he lost an election that should have been won. That election should have been won."

Trump noted that the blame fell on Kerry as well.

"He's a friend of mine. But I'm so upset that he blew it," he said.

"I think Bush is probably the worst president in the history of the United States. And I just don't understand how they could have lost that election."

Asked about Hillary Clinton, Trump praised the former first lady, saying he thought she was ready to be commander-in-chief.

Yeah, it’s good to have clarity.

Especially if it’s true Hillary’s trying to position her own Ross Perot in place, as some here have speculated.

You mean Obama wants people focused on the eligibility issue?

I am actually a bit wary of it, too, because I think Obama and co. might pull out a “real” birth certificate and documents “proving” the birthers to be stupid conspiracy theorists all along.

Remember, we didn’t like him so much?

Not all of us were in that camp.

Uh Trump?

You’ve just been removed from my Tagline.

That sort of BS isn’t helpful.

Listen to this moron. He's clearly completely adrift, politically, and bemoans the fact that Kerry lost the 2004 election to Bush, who he says, "is probably the worst president in US history."

Yet, only yesterday there were dozens and dozens of Freepers ready to give him the keys to the White House.

All I can say to them is, I Told You So!

I hadn’t noticed but haven’t focused on that theme much. They’re definately fairly easy to spot. They usually make a statement, are challenged, and then they leave. Was that the case regarding the spike you’re referring to?

A few years ago, three quarters of Freepers were dumping on Bush also. Remember, we didn’t like him so much? Gee, we all sounded like Trump sounded back then.

For years Trump was saying Pres Bush lied about WMD....never understood the fascination with him around here, the BC issue is simply his way of pandering to the base.

So Trump is stuck on the birth certificate, like so many of us were two and three years ago.

If he can expose Obama's eligibility problem with this, then good. But it should be viewed in the proper context.

In the past Trump has shown a clear allegiance with the far left. And as for all the other destructive actions by Obama--starting with A, proceeding with Obamacare and ending with Z--I don't remember Trump uttering a single word.

To truly earn credit for standing up to Obama, Trump would have to match the fight and the spirit of someone like Sarah Palin.

I say he doesn't come close.

And I agree, wholeheartedly. Although I was pleased to see Trump bringing the Obama birth certificate issue into the national spotlight, it was never a priority for me and I never took Trump seriously as a potential Republican presidential candidate or, as a conservative. He's a populist, at best and his political allegiances are based on convenience, not principle.

Of course he does. This is not a winning issue. Rightly or wrongly, people don’t care much and in my mind the issue was settled when the newspaper announcements came out during the campaign. Clearly, there was no reason for those to exist if he wasn’t born in Hawaii. The more we focus on this, the more we’ll be bludgeoned with it, the more Obama can use it as a distraction for his failings.

You're the one obsessively double-posting “Paranoid” graphics. And I'm not even sure how “paranoid” is relevant to the discussion.

Which is...is Donald Trump, who is seeking the Republican Party presidential nomination, a conservative?

You seem to think his recent conversion to birtherism somehow offers him protection from criticism. Guess what...it doesn't.

Any friend of J F'ns is no friend to any decent human beings. However, keep asking for the birth certificate.

Trump claims to be a Tea Party conservative but these comments prove the opposite. Trump is just another rich lefty pretending to be a Michael Bloomberg conservative.
