Madison -- Dane County Circuit Judge Maryann Sumi issued a temporary restraining order Friday, barring the publication of a controversial new law that would sharply curtail collective bargaining for public employees.
Sumis order will prevent Secretary of State Doug La Follette from publishing the law until she can rule on the merits of the case. Dane County Ismael Ozanne is seeking to block the law because he says a legislative committee violated the states open meetings law.
Sumi said Ozanne was likely to succeed on the merits.

When libs lose an election what is the first thing they do? Run to the men in black. END OF AMERICA. This is what the indoctrination by our higher ed system has done to this country. An entire two generations have been brainwashed.
DELAY DELAY DELAY..... is the grand strategy
These delaying tactics done to enable various Wisconsin governments to sneak in sweetheart labor contracts before Scott Walker’s new labor laws go into effect.
Layoffs today! Keep up the pressure.
First of all, my post was a reply to somebody else's lament, which was more general in nature than this specific "case". Second, "our case", whatever it happens to be at any given time, is irrelevant when corruption, including corrupt judges, is rampant. And third:
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure." - Thomas Jefferson to William Stephens Smith, 1787.

All Wisconsinites-we need to contact our legislators immediately and tell them to pass the ORIGINAL bill now-no concessions. And Gov. Walker should start the layoffs immediately and be sure to let them know in their pink slip it was because of Judge Sumi-who by circumstance, will be “on vaation” not all next week.
IIRC That law did not apply because they were in “special session”.
she ruled that, WOW, so no harm was done by these teachers taking days off in here eyes.
Nothing like a far out biased judge who ignores the law.
So write another bill now and then vote it in again.
I’m pretty sure they were in “special session” when this was voted on anyway. The 24 hour posting does not apply, according to what I heard on Fox. Can’t remember if it was Guilfoyle or Kelly that said it.
What is amazing is how many conservatives actually thought this fight had been won and it was over.

One thing we should have understood by now is that the loon left always act like cry babies and throw tantrums.
let Canada take WI, IL and all of the north east.
so now the Dems are saying the majority of the people are against this bill so it should be stopped.
well on that case then get rid of Govt health care.
But typical the left always throw a tantrum and have hypocrisy.
and then those workers who are fired move to another state to cause more aggro and complain that their new state is a right to work thus they will try and get it to change
I’m fed up of these idiots moving down here and to other states which are more republican only for them to moan, complain and ten work to make their new states look like their crappy old one
no seriously.. WI sucks.
They were in Special Session and the 24 hour rule doesn’t apply but the Republicans can make sure the Judiciary doesn’t get the last word by just doing it over again.
We get that, too. Lots of liberal Californians. Wish they’d just stay home. (I tell them, hey, the interstate goes both ways—just turn around and go back.)

This article lays out the negotiations that took place.
I don't care about laws that conservatives pass.
It is likely that if this case does pass the State Supreme Court, that it will head into the Federal system. In fact, Holder and Obama are ready to file injunctions in the Western District of Wisconsin to block implementation of the law.
We had another MA woman , very liberal move in, after a year she moved back to MA and stated the south is backwards, too right wing and not open to homosexuality.
LOL, Bye bye for her.
Sadly some do stay as seen in the southern part of the state.
They’re like locusts who swarm down here and then ruin areas.
Let them have their liberal utopia.
Only if every liberal lunatic, smelly liberal student layabout, career welfare people, etc moves up there and then leave us alone to how we want to live.
You know like normal families, and marriage, go by law not rioting or thuggery, balanced budgets etc.
Why they want to live on top of their neighbors and so close they can shake hands from bedroom windows is beyond me too.
Ever heard this.
There is no starbucks, saks5th, strip malls no gyms near by etc.
Then why the hell did you move here, we like quiet, no traffic, open ranches, small family stores etc.
