I do worry about the folks in Japan.
Me too. Japan has had a huge earthquake, devastating tsunami, and now a nuclear reactor meltdown. All at once!

ok its very confusing lol
the problems are at two different places with more then one reactor at each place having trouble

hydrogen rupture?Could be. I would have expected a larger explosion if the containment and vessel went at the same time. Could even just be the outer building (not the containment) from an accumulation of hydrogen. That large black mass that rises up and falls down in the center of the explosion is a concern though. It is possible that the vessel is intact and the containment blew but that probably means that there is no longer the ability to cool the core and it is now or soon will be in full meltdown.

Anyways I don’t know why you directed that post to me. Anything I have posted is directly from NHK reporting and not even paraphrasing it. I mean, you got others here posting their opinions, they got the pacific economies dead already, cancer causing fruits in Cali and advising we should all go to bed in lead pyjamas... the majority of my posts have either been relaying the reports of NHK or complaining that Fox News goes off at midnight and uses reruns.

I took my KI, for others on here, its potassium-iodine. You have to saturate your system before you get exposed.
As I said, it's probably good advice. More people will heed it, if you just calm down a bit and stop hyper-ventilating.

I’m as prone to think the worst as anyone but
At the moment CNN is still saying the outer structure may have collapsed without destroying the containment, which should be further below ground. I hope that’s the case.

thats actually not a bad idea and in all seriousness, we may really need it here in the farmlands of California - Im cardboarding my garden first thing in the morning. I think we should have 24 hours or so before the winds hit us. Rain is forecast first of the week. I'm in Seattle, and we have rains scheduled pretty much for every day until July or so.

This may be the final nail in the coffin of increased nuclear energy. Only in the Chicken Little United States.

No kidding. The 5th largest recorded EQ in history sets off a tsunami which wipes out the NE coast of Japan (which I will be shocked if we dont see a 5-7 figure death toll from that event alone) and what looks to be a nuclear plant meltdown in process and the MSM here in the US is asleep at the wheel. None of this is making sense. Can our entire media be this outrageously incompetent? Are they afraid we will panic, and do what exactly?

The pressure that caused the explosion almost certainly came right off the rods. Even if there is a containment vessel remaining, it's leaking and cooling water is probably evaporating at a much higher rate. It doesn't look like there would be any equipment left to get the cooling water to the reactor after that explosion.

I wouldn’t take too much iodine. I’d be afraid I’d get sick or worse.

...it is not "pink visible radiation". You do realize visible light is electromagnetic radiation.

This may be the final nail in the coffin of increased nuclear energy. I really don't think so. Once the adults take charge in 2012 (O'Bambi is a one-termer for sure), rational thinking people will be able to make a compelling case for nuclear power. It's cheap, available, clean, proven and reliable. Sure, there are some risks involved but the real energy danger is relying on murderous Muzzies for the fuel that drives America.

It was an old reactor, and it has sustained the damage of a 8.9 earthquake and a tsunami.

Take the exact amount, 50-85mg for a few weeks. That will not hurt you. It’ll flood your system as it should and then you need to go back to a normal sub mg per day level.

Japanese are keeping quiet.?
NKH has been reporting the explosion for over an hour now. I've been watching it online live for the last 4 hours. They've been up to date and warning the public.
