ATLANTA (AP) Newt Gingrich says his passion for his country contributed to his marital infidelity. In an interview posted Wednesday by The Christian Broadcasting Network, Gingrich who recently converted to Catholicism said he had sought Gods forgiveness for mistakes in his past.
Theres no question at times of my life, partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked far too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate, Gingrich said.
What I can tell you is that when I did things that were wrong, I wasnt trapped in situation ethics, I was doing things that were wrong, and yet, I was doing them, he said. I found that I felt compelled to seek Gods forgiveness. Not Gods understanding, but Gods forgiveness.

Most. Patriotic. Man. Ever.

Romney is a Republican.
President Obama has praised Romneycare as the model for Obamacare.
Lindsey “Cap and Tax” Grahmnesty is nominally a Republican.

It’s worse that Hussein trying to tell us his polls were in the toilet because he didn’t spend enough time telling us about the great things he was doing to us.

Newt’s “sell-by date” is long past. He is making excuses for his actions ... blaming them on externals.
Let get him front and center early on so we can get the rejection over with and move on.

I hear you. I’ve never doubted that he’s an intelligent man, but he is very flawed.

He needs to stay out of the campaign and just publish his policy papers. What a load of crap.

rbgm with all respect, it’s the contraction “YOU’RE,” NOT the possessive pronoun “YOUR.”

This confirms his similarity to John Edwards. A self centered narcissistic politician. It's all about “me”

I was a bit worried, because I was under the impression most freepers were tired of voting for the lesser of two evils, that John McCain was the last straw.
