(CNN) -- An alleged sexual assault of a Texas girl involving nearly 20 people was recorded on cell phones, and a video of the alleged incident was circulating among students in her school district
As of Monday, 13 adults and five juveniles had been arrested as part of the investigation, authorities said. A defense attorney for one of the suspects told CNN affiliate KPRC that the number of suspects could increase.
"I don't know the exact number of people involved," James Evans said. "I've heard as many as 28 or more."
The case has sharply divided the community, according to CNN affiliate KHOU, which reported the girl was 11 years old.
Darrel Broussard, assistant police chief for the Cleveland, Texas, Police Department, said Monday that the investigation into the incident "is continuous,"...
Cleveland is about 50 miles northeast of Houston.
The 18 individuals charged thus far are between 14 and 27 years old, he said. Those who are adults were indicted last month on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
The girl told a forensic interviewer from a child advocacy center that one suspect called her "and asked if she wanted to ride around" on that day, the affidavit said. Three of the suspects picked her up and took her to one residence where a fourth suspect lived. The fourth suspect told her to take her clothes off, she said, adding that "he would have some girls 'beat her up' or she would not be taken back to her residence if she did not comply." the affidavit said.
"Victim stated that digital still images and digital video images of the sex acts were recorded by one or more individuals using cellular telephones," according to the affidavit.

The thing is, African American is not a race.
(takes a lot to bring me out of lurkmode)
TY LilFlower for the WTH? On “She may or not be blameless”
Blood was gushing out’my eye balls reading that.grrr
An 11 yr old, that was more than likely previously abused
and *or neglected judging by her behavior, is NEVER RESPONSIBLE in any way shape or any stretch of the imagination. For God’s sake..
I know it isn’t law but I wish in some way that Almighty God will wipe away the pain from the little one who endured it.
I think thoughts of retribution are natural but I hope first for the little one who was attacked.
Were they wearing Obama shirts?
I wonder how many times they each voted for Obama?
Are they registered Republicans?
More Katrina “refugees” tormenting Houston?
(Try to imagine a few bars of a mournful swampy-sounding slide guitar playing, appropriate to the background theme music to a sweltering Southern prison as you’re reading this… Chain gangs in the relentless midsummer’s heat, and prison guards riding on horseback toting shotguns. Rest of their damned lives. God, are they boned.)Beautifully said. Something like this for the music…
“These are just a few of the rape suspects.....”
Wait till the libs start wailing about the sad childhoods the rapists had, and blame their actions on whitey/slavery. And, of course, they will claim it`s racist to prosecute them.
“Sharply divided the community!? In what way?”
I think we already know the answer to that.
Lets be honest the “black social network” sites feature crimes as sport.
Methinks the Christians need to pray and repent more.Yeah, I guess.
Buying more guns and ammo would also help.
So would getting more politically active.
The case has sharply divided the community, according to CNN affiliate KHOU, which reported the girl was 11 years old.
How the F is ANYONE divided on the gang rape of an 11 year old girl? Unless the division is; “do we hang them by the testicles until dead, or by the neck?”
What a sick bunch of punks..I just can’t keep from crying about this,to think a child could be used like that..I guess we will need to keep our kids locked up so none of the savages can get their hands on them..All I can say is keep the savages away from me I will not say what I could do to these sick bastards..
Ah. Just went to the website. Amish again. I now understand the “division.” Do we prosecute the black suspects or is that racism?
The fact of the matter in multicultural Amerika not everyone has the same morals, mores or attitudes. It used to be the vast majority of Americans had what was known as Christian or Western values. No more. Some groups of people just don't think the same as "real Americans" and those values are transmitted to their children. Its also a fact that different groups of people are biologically different and they mature faster than others and that's not even counting the effect of all the chemicals hormones in the food and water supply.
Some of the perp's supporters are claiming that the 11 year old wanted to have sex with older men and was therefore not raped. This could be true and such an act would be accepted within certain communities, despite what the public at large might think about the matter.
If these men were tried by a jury by their actual peers would they be acquitted? What would be the greater threat: the individuals who did the deed or the entire people who support and defend them? At what point does a group of people whose culture and customs become so different from their neighbors that they would be considered foreign or even hostile or dangerous?
I think you missed his point, “big time”.
He’s questioning the use of the word “alleged” in the context with this case. It is not he that is questioning whether the girl was raped, it is the author of the article, by the author’s use of “alleged”.
As suspected. . . Amish.
"It just seems like a dream," said Sherry Fletcher, who told reporters her 20-year-old son is among those accused. "I just hope everything comes out well, because some of these kids are innocent."

Yep...Very scary stuff...
Good question...Like the OJ trial, the only reason he was acquitted is due to the racist black jury.
Did you notice this guy’s employer?
