The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People wants to honor Kid Rock at its annual Freedom Fund dinner at Cobo Conference and Exhibition Center in Detroit.
The NAACP said it wants to recognize Rock for his commitment to Detroit.
However, not everyone agrees Kid Rock should be recognized by the NAACP.
"Kid Rock has made the Confederate flag a symbol at all his concerts," said Adolph Mongo of Detroiters for Progress. "It's been a problem since 2005."
Mongo said he and the rest of his group plan to protest the dinner if Kid Rock is honored because the flag is a symbol of hate, and the NAACP should not be honoring anyone who waves it proudly.

Love Kid Rock. Been to USO TOURS where he entertained the troops and everyone of his music videos either has the American flag or the Confederate flag in it. No biggie. The irony is that it’s an issue of “my hatred is bigger than your hatred organization’ LOL.
And if it wasn’t the flag they would find something else.

Has anyone else noticed that all black athletes do not put their hand or their hat over their heart at the presentation of the colors or the singing/playing of our National Anthem?

You're right about that. Additionally, at their self-congratulating image awards show last night, the black celebs were sporting lapel ribbons symbolizing "solidarity" with the Wisconsin union thugs.

Let’s see who supports Kid Rock the most...the ones that don’t mind the CBF or the ones that support the NAALCP? Kid Rock needs to support those that pay his rent and tell the professional bigots to pound sand.
