Jim went to the VA hospital this afternoon for his scheduled checkup.

They admitted him. His remaining leg is not looking good. Three surgeons will confer tomorrow morning
on whether and when his right leg will be amputated.

When I talked to him this afternoon, he consented to me asking for prayers regarding this latest health issue.

Glad you are home Jim. Take good care of that leg and at the risk of sounding medical, I assume your'e taking vitamins. A good Multivitamin with Minerals twice a day after meals (Centrum Silver or equivalent) may help the healing. Maybe add a B Complex with C once a day too. The Honey is a great idea.

Thank you all very much.

They sent me home with a big grocery bag full of pills and stuff that we’ve got to figure out how and when to use. They’re going to send a home care nurse out every other day to check on me and change the honey dressing. Chris will change the outer dressing about twice a day due to the water leakage. They don’t know what to do about that yet. I probably leak about a quart a day through the ulcer. And they’re going to schedule me for the wound specialist clinic for twice a week treatments. She said she successfully treated a very similar case to mine with nitroglycerin and she would like to try that with me. I thank God for this lady. If she had not spoken up when she did, my leg would’ve been gone the other day. She’s an answer to our prayers. Got a long ways to go to cure this thing, though. The ulcer which had not changed in two years is suddenly twice the size it was just two months ago and goes all the way to the bone. Took a pain pill last night and got a full night’s sleep. It’s great to be home!!

Thanks again for all your prayers and cyber hugs. It helps tremendously.
