WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama will host a White House conference next week on preventing bullying.
The White House says the March 10 conference will bring together students, parents and educators to discuss ways to end bullying and make schools safer for students.

NTI: Your approach sounds very sensible. Wood: unfortunately your approach did not seem to do anything for the kids in my public school where every morning we said The Lord’s Prayer, read a student selected verse from Psalms, and pledged allegiance to the Flag. Oh, maybe the problem was that it was before “under God” was added to the Pledge. Nor did attendance at Catholic school do anything for the 3 bi^&*es in my Girl Scout Troop. In fact, maybe they were so fed up with being rulered by the nuns that they needed a smaller victim.
I can guarantee nothing will be mentioned about inner city gang bangers.
Actually, the best solution is to punch the bully in the nose.
What? ...they gonna hold the conference in the WI capitol?
I think Zero had better start with the UNIONS.
Will any of the kids get to ask the question:
I have been watching the teachers in WI screeming, cursing, hitting TV anchors, and throwing trash in the Capitol.
Isn’t that bullying Mr. President?
It is. A kick in the nuts works too.
Most "bullying experts" fail to understand why a bully does what he (or she) does. It's not a problem with their self-esteem or any other crystal-rubber hokum. They do it because it's fun. It entertains them. And if there's blood suddenly running down the bully's shirt, the bullying ceases to be fun.
At it's heart, the interaction between bully and victim is an economic transaction. The bully is gaining something; entertainment. However, most bullies are unwilling to pay a steep price for that entertainment. This is why they pick on the weak. Retaliation is unlikely and thus the potential cost of their entertainment is low. If the victim strikes back, however, then the entertainment is no longer worth the price. The bully can always find a cheaper, less risky source of entertainment.
Whatever happened to just sending your kid to karate?
Maybe they can train their union thugs not to punch counter-protestors and people filming them and other folks. Maybe they can teach liberal democrats who come up to republicans after a vote and say “You are f***ing dead!”
Perhaps we need to have conservatives open a “Civility Institute” and start documenting and archiving all the instances of the liberals screaming and being violent and generally uncivil. And start spreading them around to the point the media can’t ignore them. Perhaps make a nice documentary of them and get it into as many hands as possible.
That’s rich. Pres_ent 0mywayorthehighway has an anti-bullying conference. LOL
Maybe they can hold it at the Capitol building in Madison, WI.

Exactly. When I was young I learned that bullys have a role to play in life. They teach you how to fight back and defeat people who act like that. Then you get to watch them cry and run away.
One Saturday morning I was sleeping late. My 11 year old son came in sat on the bed and said, “Mom, I need to tell you something, I hope you don’t get too upset. You remember that construction site nearby with the big pile of sand? Well three big guys (probably 3 years older) wanted me to give them my money. I grabbed a piece of rebar and ran up top of the sand pile. The first guy ran up, I kicked him in the chest. The second guy ran up, I slashed him across the face with the rebar. The third guy ran away. Gee, Mom, did you know that fat is yellow?” My response, “Well, I’m glad you are all right, I guess he will need some stitches.” “Yes,” he said, “They must have thought I was one of those whimpy white kids from the suburbs.” My son’s 9 year old started Kung Fu when he was 7.

Too true!
Fixed.
I’m guessing that this is the first salvo for a new ENDA push.
Because 30 posters know that's not the issue. Wake up and smell the coffee. How many times do we have to go through this before you understand that THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH "BULLYING!!!!"
It's a push for homosexualization of school children, nothing more. Learn the language or get bulldozed!
Exactly. There's no way around this - either train your kids in godliness and civility, or let the anarchist humanists do it.
