Protesters in Madison not budging
Fox News ^ | 2/27/11

Posted on 02/27/2011 2:37:31 PM PST by Jean S

The protesters agreed to leave peacefully so the capitol building could be cleaned. Later, they organized some seminars on "passive resistance". Now they're pouring in the building and refusing to leave unless they're handcuffed.

The trouble is that the crowd could attack anybody who tried to lock doors, etc. Seems like we’re dealing with a bunch of lawless thugs. Might have to give an announcement/warning from an undisclosed location, saying that there will be tear gas or something like that, and that if they do not discontinue their trespassing they will be gassed and then arrested.

Turning off the water or heat could be done remotely so it would also be an option.

I liked the idea of passing a law making big fines and de-licensing teachers, etc. You’d still have to have a way to catch the individuals who were doing it and holding them accountable, which requires manpower. And it seems like the police - who are probably not allowed to strike - are simply refusing to work. What’s the difference? If this is what the unions mean, people should easily be able to see why we must NEVER allow critical government jobs to be unionized.

And the Obama regime is allowing airport security to unionize? Jeez, what more can they do to set the stage for this country’s downfall, that they haven’t already done?

For shame.

This is just my opinion of course but this seems like a special instance when the best thing we can do is just ignore these jerks and let them expend their energy until they turn tail and go home in humiliation. Let them prove to themselves that nobody cares what they think and that their temper tantrums are not only illegal they are counterproductive.

I am within 2 miles of "Madison Central"...on the near west side of Madison (if you know where Hilldale Mall is, you know approximately where I am)...I have been down to observe on five of the last eight nights.
Further, I am a state employee that supports the Governor in all that he is trying to do.

And I don't know what you mean regarding "paying very close attention to this issue". Your statements hereon do not reveal evidence of that.

You have ignored my quesions to you. What would you have the tea party and other conservatives do TODAY while the liberals were holding the capitol hostage? And second, where do you live? Those of us who live in Wisconsin know exactly what is happening day to day here. You, on the other hand, come out of the blue and tell us what we should be doing.

Very arrogant of you.

I infer that many of the protestors in Madison are PAID and supported by folks who have an agenda. I’ve been over there for budget hearings and know that for a fact. However, nobody pays for me.

I don’t infer, but I state outright, that my family and all our friends have to work for a living. I own a business, and my employees expect me to put in the time to see that our products go out on time, and are billed on time, and that payments come in on time so that their wages can be paid on time.

Everybody that I know in the Tea Party operates the same way. I joined one of their “demonstrations” (a quiet one in support of our Senator) Friday night. For that, I had to leave work early Fri. and didn’t get my billing done. I made up for it on Sat. and today. That’s what a business owner does when people are depending on him.

What’s illogical about that?

Right, you live in Madison. How convenient. They must have changed the state flag when I wasn't looking.

Lawlessness. They’ve all gone over the cliff. Everything Obama and his supporters have ever been about is lawlessness. And now they are blatant about it. This is an assault on the entire country.

Very arrogant of you.

First, I am much much closer to the action than are you...in more ways than one.

Second...if what I demand is "arrogant", so be it. I believe the youth of today says, "it is what it is."

The republican/rino/conservative/teapartyers have failed to show cause, solidarity, belief, faith, dedication to stated principles, and a willingness to "carry the torch".

As stated...teapartyers??? Baahhhh!

[One rino has already changed his vote, they are hoping to scare a couple of more to change.]

So does the RINO, along with the Democrats, support thousands of layoffs or a tax increase to close the budget gap? Remember, there is no money to close the budget gap. The Governor must make clear that it is one or the other. The budget must be balanced.

What is wrong with Qatar???

More importantly, it is no one's business than mine where I live...including you.

I will release the information if it seems to the point; in this case, it most certainly does.

Hey, it was reported hours ago on Fox that the Tea Party had no events planned today in Madison, because they dispatched groups to protest the AWOL Democrats at their hiding places.

I’m glad the Tea Party is not attending this today, unless of course, one actually wants to see some real violence by those union knuckleheads at the Capitol.

Interesting you hold these protesters in high regards. Can you send any link where you have stood up for the tea party protesters?

You see the Tea Party has worked within the confines of this country’s principles. They made sure Conservatives won the last election in their state and now those who lost are not working within the confines of normalities. They are throwing a hissy fit like a child. It is for that very reason they are hurting their and your cause.
