The protesters agreed to leave peacefully so the capitol building could be cleaned. Later, they organized some seminars on "passive resistance". Now they're pouring in the building and refusing to leave unless they're handcuffed.

1. Move the Governor, legislators, staff members, etc. out of the Capitol Building, and set them up for business in another location with sufficient security to keep the protesters out.
2. Inside the Capitol building, cutoff the lights and water, lock the bathrooms, and crank up the air conditioning.
3. Surround the building with State Troopers, and if necessary, National Guard troops. Whoever wants to leave the building may do so, but no one else will be permitted to enter.
Obviously these people have no jobs. How are they eating?
Oh no! I hope he is alright! I also hope someone got it on video!
Rats thrive in that environment.
I just read on another forum the local police issued a statement to the effect that NO ARRESTS, of those refusing to leave, will be taking place today.
Then by all means - budge them. “Get bloody” and all that civility...

The Understory blog posts this:
From inside the Wisconsin State Capitol, RAN ally Ryan Harvey reports:
Hundreds of cops have just marched into the Wisconsin state capitol building to protest the anti-Union bill, to massive applause. They now join up to 600 people who are inside.
Ryan reported on his Facebook page earlier today:
Police have just announced to the crowds inside the occupied State Capitol of Wisconsin: We have been ordered by the legislature to kick you all out at 4:00 today. But we know whats right from wrong. We will not be kicking anyone out, in fact, we will be sleeping here with you! Unreal.
Why get in the way of your opponent hanging himself?
There’s plenty of solutions.
One, stop people from coming in.
Two, cut off heat. Problem solved.
If that’s true, a state of open insurrection exists in the city of Madison.
Oh...it will get violent. This war has just begun.
I'd like to know where our guys are though?
Not good. Things like this will lead to lawlessness on a more general level.
So?
Yeah, that’s the interesting question. The usual rule is that the individual in control of the property requests the trespasser to leave, then makes the arrest when he refuses. You’d think that’d be the Capitol Police. In circumstances (such as this) where they don’t have the ability to incarcerate, they then turn the arrested party over to law enforcement. In many jurisdictions, the jail is operated by the Sheriff, not the police, so there may be a direct route from the Capitol Police to the Sheriff’s department, bypassing the Madison Police. Guess I’m going to do some digging on Madison enforcement.
Things rot from the top.
[note the *very* heavy padded bite-proof canvas arm gaurd? Imagine that *chomp, drop and rip" action on bare flesh...and Dobes don't give a damn about "union rights"]
Release the Krakkens Dobes.
I just called the Madison Police Dept at 608-266-4275 to ask why the protestors had not yet been removed from our Capitol as of 4 p.m. Central time as promised. I was told I had to call the Capitol Police at 608-266-8797. When I called and asked the same question, I was told the doors were locked but that it would take “some time” to get people out. I told her according to what I was seeing on the news, it did not appear that ANYONE was leaving. She then said I had to speak with their media dept and was transferred to a voicemail for “Jody Jensen”. This is the same person we were told to call when this first started and noone ever calls back-at this point I do not even know if there IS a person named Jody Jensen. My husband called and got the same thing and a # of 608-261-2299 as a direct # for Jody Jensen. Someone else I know called and got a # of 608-576-7036 for “Jody Jensen”. Since when can’t a private citizen of a state call their police dept without having to go through a “media spokesperson”?
Is Governor Walker there?
If not, he should be. It is important that he not appear frightened right now.
