From the BBC:
1545: Libyan TV says in an "urgent" screen caption the state news agency is under "piracy" attack, and gives a new web address: "Website of [state] al-Jamahiriyah News Agency (JANA) subjected to suspicious piracy operation."
1528: And AFP has just reported that there are violent clashes between demonstrators and government forces taking place in central Tunis.
1525: In Tunisia, where it all started, hundreds of journalists and technicians from the state-run TV broadcaster have gone on strike over what they say is continued government censorship of their dispatches, Reuters reports. State TV news bulletins have stopped. One striker, asking not to be named, told Reuters: "We are on strike demanding an end to all the pressure and to stop the censorship, and to allow us to work freely... We will not accept restrictions anymore."
1443: As reported earlier, Tripoli remains calm after a night of sporadic gunfire. A Libyan journalist told the BBC that shops were open and people were going about their business. He said supporters of Col Gaddafi were occupying Green Square, in the centre of of the city.

THE WHITEBOARD
BERLIN CALL: President Obama spoke with Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany on Saturday to discuss the situation in Libya, the White House announced. The call came as the U.N. Security Council was meeting behind closed doors in New York to debate possible international sanctions on the Qadhafi regime.
The two leaders discussed ways to coordinate our urgent efforts to respond to developments and ensure appropriate accountability, according to a White House statement. During the call, Obama expressed to Merkel deep concerns about the Libyan governments continued violations of human rights and brutalization of its people.
Obama has consulted with a number of foreign leaders in recent days about the developing unrest in Libya, including Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday and French President Nicolas Sarkozy, UK Prime Minister David Cameron and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi on Thursday.

WASHINGTON (AP) President Barack Obama says Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi must leave the country now.
Obama made the comments to German Chancellor Angela Merkel in a private telephone conversation Saturday as they discussed the violence in Libya. The White House says Obama told Merkel that when a leaders only means of holding power is to use violence against his people, then he has lost the legitimacy to rule and needs to do whats right for his country by leaving now.
The comments mark the first time that Obama has called on Gadhafi to step down.

The guy’s a revolutionary-agitator. I wonder how google feels about all these thousands of slaughtered and terrorized people who have no clue what their future will be???
This sad death pales in the light of those dying at the hands of Obama’s inept inexperience or idiotic ideology but it seems to fit here. The Princess, whom I knew well when she was a kid and less frequently in later years, had an Egyptian father.

Amen to your thoughts. Prepare.
Thank you for that ping. Sad.

Well, sure, Obama’s the chief community agitator. He can divide the country and the world. We have to vote him out in 2012 or we will be as doomed as those living it now.
Canada, U.S. agree to use each others troops in civil emergencies

Canada and the U.S. signed an agreement that paves the way for either nation to send troops across each others borders during an emergency. Some question why the Harper government has kept silent on the deal.
Neither the Canadian government nor the Canadian Forces announced the new agreement, signed Feb. 14 in Texas.
The U.S. Northern Command publicized the agreement outlining how its top officer, Gen. Gene Renuart, and Canadian Lt.-Gen. Marc Dumais, head of Canada Command, signed the plan, which allows the military from one nation to support the armed forces of the other nation during a civil emergency.
The new agreement has been greeted with suspicion by the left wing in Canada and the right wing in the U.S.
all we need now is one signed with Mexico
