Ditto that. He is right on with his information, his warnings, etc.. However, he is too emotional to be the leader we need right now.
Much of what he says come right outa the book of rules.

A good comment form Durant. I’ve heard this same thing from others though not as elegant as that from Durant.
I agree with many of your points. I never felt a kinship with the 9/12 movement. I thought it was a strange sorta almost-a-tea-party thing that had its place for some people but wasn't a movement for all like the Tea Party.
I have less problem with some of his mistakes as I, too, am auto-didactic and understand the pitfalls of that kind of thing. So, I guess I sympathetic and forgive him more often maybe than I should.
But the service he is doing in getting this message out is so very, very important that it overrides just about any flaw you can point out.
He may not be a leader of the Constitutional Conservative movement, per se, and he stumbles as a prophet at times, but he is absolutely indispensible as a teacher and historian.
We really need Glenn Beck to keep teaching.
Maybe that is why Beck bothers so many people...their children are screwed, and they don't want to face it (like the woman being hauled off to the bomb shelter in 'The Day After'.)

When I was watching, he said that the forces opposing Gadhafi were MB which IMO simplifies the situation. Libya has a poor population but a high per capita GNP. Mubarak was stealing the Egyptians blind as well. If these governments don’t reform (which they were not) they will fall. The Islamists are everywhere a danger but the kleptocrats are just making their eventual takeover more likely. Glenn says we should have stood with Mubarak and I disagree with him. Crony capitalists will never voluntarily let a penny trickle down.
