President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle have not been invited to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding. The Queen personally invited 40 heads of state, who received the gold-embossed invitations over the weekend to the April 29 wedding of the future king. The Obamas, however, were not among them. But they can take solace in the knowledge that they will be the guests of their very own state visit to the UK in May. I heard they are planning on putting Winston Churchill’s bust in the seat normally reserved for the president of the United States.
For those with short memories, one of the first actions Obama took after becoming president was to the return the bust of Churchill that had been sitting in the oval office for a decade. It was loaned to the United States after the 9-11 terrorist attacks as a sign of solidarity with the United States.
No sure the UK has enough food for them.....
