Via Drudge, one of the more hypocritical moments of the union protests in Madison gets committed to videotape by MacIver Institute. Why hypocritical? Well, imagine what these same teachers would say if their students got doctors to sign notes en masse at the mall to teenagers that play hooky from their classes. Great lesson these teachers are giving their students, especially the ones they brought in tow to Wisconsins capital:
I asked this doctor what he was doing and he told me they were handing out excuses to people who were feeling sick due to emotional, mental or financial distress, said Christian Hartsock. They never performed an examhe asked me how I was feeling today and I said Im from California and Im not used to the cold, so he handed me a note.
Another woman, who wished to remain anonymous, said they were handing out excuses like they were leaflets.
I asked if they were handing out doctors excuses and a guy said yes and asked me if I needed one, she said. When I told them I needed one for February 16 and 17th, he wondered if I wanted to come back here for the protests next week.
What happened next?
I said, sure, and I received a doctors note for the 16th through the 25th of February, without a medical exam.
Dont miss the doctor who scolded the cameraman because he doesnt hang out at the capital every day for a year before asking questions about aiding and abetting fraud. Perhaps the state might want to look into these cases of inadequate examination and potential misdiagnosis by the doctors who issued those notes, too.
Marxists lie. Who knew!
OH and the doctor claiming the reporter was nosing into a private discussion was hilarious. How many people were standing in line listening during the ‘consult’. lol
A finding that a physician wrote a knowingly false official medical excuse for a government has major consequences which include decertification for MedicAid claims, as that is a state-operated program. This could financially cripple a physician, particularly if there are federal Medicare and private insurance rules for decertification of physicians who are decertified from MedicAid for fraud.
If Wisconsin allows taxpayer suits concerning fraud on the state government, we might see an exciting race to Wisconsin courthouses on Monday by attorneys filing class actions against these physicians.
Isn’t it maddening how the left just dares you to enforce the law on them, and when you do, it’s, “how dare you!”
“Pattern of Practice” is going to be problem for these doc’s.
The ‘OldDocGuy’ who tried invoke HIPPA really hung himself by implying that the rules apply at that moment. That would include ALL professional rules and laws. — His mistake I guess.
He was very defensive. He knows he is being unethical and probably didn’t think anyone would notice.
Please note after february 24, 2011 if the bill is not voted on the very next day Scott walker will have to issue layoff slips to 5,500 State employees. The municipalities will have to also layoff up to 6000 employees. Can you imagine the disappointment of the people whom will be laid off because 14 Democrap Senators ran off to Chicago and now have moved elsewhere. every time the media interviews them they move.
The doctors work for UW Health which is private and public entity. if theses are truly doctors or just medical residents they may jeoparadized their medical licenses. Something does not smell right with these sick excuses. How much money has the Union and or Obama’s Organizing for America paid these so called doctors to write these excuses.
I can just see after all this free advertisement people start just walking up to him and saying Doc I got this pain right here and I know you give free medical advice.....
That bearded quack who was making claims of private consultations taking place in public areas is a real piece of work.
I would love to see some of these arrogant doctors lose their license to practice, but I know it will never happen.
This is the same kind of “examination” and diagnosis that George Tiller used every day of his career to justify the tearing of viable children limb from limb inside or outside the womb.
This kind of “medical practice” would be a joke if it wasn’t Auschwitz all over again.
They can dare the current house all they want. BTW they had better stock up on diesel because Ohio is following suit. The dumbasses can waste their time in TN if they wish.
I believe Wisconsin is proving socialism is a failure. Send the Governor a word of nice encouragement.
A state employee lying on the timesheet (and that's exactly what this is - sick leave for a protest) is a FELONY in my state.
You are correct. Taxpayer funds should be deducted for every day that illegal strikes are implemented. Class-action could result in quite a few dimes from the WEA.
