Why aren’t they at work?

Did they bring their shovels to lean on?

How dare we ask public workers to participate in the same type of pay for performance reality that we peon taxpayers live in?

I mean, who do we taxpayers think we are anyway?

Crowds of public employees protesting a sweeping Ohio proposal to strip unions of collective bargaining rights are wearing red in an effort to steer public opinion away from the idea that unions are all-Democrat organizations.

So since these people obviously don't have to work, why should we care how much they protest about unions? They have plenty of money if they can be taking off work to participate in protests.

Would it be appropriate to show up here with a communist flag? Are there any pictures out there of any union people with russian or chinese flags?

BTW, within in the environment of any government agency at any time in history under any political system, there cannot ever be any possibility of a merit pay system that actually makes pay adjustments based on the merit of the employee or employees affected.

That's because the bosses within the system are selected for ability to kiss butt ~ and are never penalized for failure to manage, or for wasting money.

No boss in any government agency is ever rewarded or punished based on performance of their organizational elements.

" The measure would end collective bargaining and replace negotiated salary schedules with merit raises."

Ahhhh...merit...what a concept. Pay raises based on how well you do your job...like the rest of us have to do.

Unions are the hotbed for hatching MEDIOCRITY. It' mini-socialism mentality is destroying business after business, and city after city. If you did that with fire, you'd be jailed for arson...but a business or city destroyed by unions is worse than fire - with fire, your insurance will help you rebuild. Nobody wants any part of a union-destroyed entity.

The sooner the entire country adopts these measures, the better. obama loves unions because they are the seed of socialism, breeding bloc voters for his majesty.

Upending unions is right up their with controlling spending and the deficit...it has GOT to be done.

One good rule of thumb to watch in the future is, whichever candidate - of either side - is getting big support from a union (any union), vote for the other guy/gal.

Notice that the teachers unions are absent. It’s been illegal for school teachers to strike in Ohio for over 30 years. They have no skin in this fight so they are sitting this one out. How’s that for union solidarity?

This is what you get when a “community organizer” is elected president and the man who gets to see him more than anybody is Andy Stern the head of SEIU.
