Former Governor Mitt Romney has struggled to attract support among Tea Party activists in pockets throughout the country, but he appears to have secured broad support among the movement's supporters in New Hampshire.
In a new WMUR poll, his favorability among supporters of the Tea Party is strikingly high - 77 percent and far exceeds any other candidate.
Among Tea Party supporters, Romney's favorability numbers were far higher than even candidates who are viewed as closely aligned with the movement, such as Sarah Palin (whose favorability was 48 percent), Ron Paul (43 percent), and Newt Gingrich (53 percent).

I am stumped!
I guess we have a whole new definition of “Tea Party” — “LIBERAL DEMOCRAT”
Total horsecrap.
NH Tea-Party = RINO’s.
There is no Tea-party in NH, just RINO’s
No way is this true..no F’n way..but if it is, I guess the saying is true, there is a sucker born every minute.
“Who are you going to believe...me, or your own lying eyes?”
We had a fake tea party pop up here in Michigan. It might be worth getting some background on the leadership there.
It’s a Boston Globe poll so Romney would have been favored no matter what the people actually stated as their preference.
New Hampshire has been turning into New Massachusetts for many years now. It’s a shame what that once fine state has become.
That poll is suspect.
Tea Party supporters? How was that determined? Why not ‘members’ of the Tea Party?
Any good polling agency could find ample pollees to be ‘Tea Party supporters’ without them actually being Tea Party members.
Odd. What do people drink in NH?
Its unconscionable that they en mass have forsworn fighting this nations foreign wars, and he should be disqualified for national office based on that alone.
His father didnt serve either, and the rest of the clan were busy hiding in Mexico where they could practice muslim style polygamy.
He has also taken a firm stand against illegal immigration, which is somewhat ironic, as the evidence suggests that Romney's own grandfather came to America as an illegal immigrant.
His great-grandfather, a devout Mormon in a time when his church encouraged polygamy, fled the US with his multiple wives in 1884, when American law could strip polygamists of the right to vote or serve on juries.
Romney's grandfather and father were born and raised in Mexico, and Romney's father was a child when his family left Mexico at the height of the Mexican Revolution, in 1912. Romney's father's and grandmother were American citizens under the law at that time, and came to America on a train, while his grandfather crossed the border northward in classic "illegal immigrant" fashion, entering US territory on a long walk over barren desert land.
Total BS by the Globe - the sister paper of the New York Slimes. They are trying to start the drumbeat WAY in advance so they can pick our candidate again, like McLame. It’s propaganda because they are terrified.
No I simply don’t buy it. This is the MSM pushing the man they want to have the Dems beat in 2012. No way Romney is the Repub candidate. No way the Tea Party is going to get behind a RINO.
Facts are facts, far to many people here seem to think they have the ability to force other people to support who they support. Old magic bloomers did well in this area before.
Coulter: Nominate Christie, because Romney will lose
Conservative pundit Ann Coulter warned activists Saturday that if the party nominates former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in 2012, President Obama will win reelection.
“If you don’t run Chris Christie, Romney will be the nominee and we’ll lose,” said Coulter, eliciting cheers from the crowd.
“By the way,” she added, “I warned you about McCain.”
No offense but I’m starting to despise New Hampshire politically speaking. RINO’s and dems LOVE the fact that this deep, deep, deep blus state is a huge factor in picking our nominee. How freaking many people even live there???
Because it’s a load of crap?
As you well know, George Romney’s parents were both natural born American citizens. George was born to them in Mexico, and thus is also a natural born citizen under our law. George Romney was a great businessman and patriot. He turned around a struggling auto company and served his country with distinction. I may not vote for Mitt Romney in the primaries, but I believe he is also a good American. If he does win the nomination, I will vote for him in a hot minute over Obama.
I just think that someone needs to respond to what you’re posting with an alternative — and conservative — view.
Relax boys! Yes, the morons of this country did elect a marxist muslim mulatto, but they will never elect a MORMON! Ain’t NO WAY JOSE’!
“If anyone can figure this one out, let me know.”
The most likely explanation is that it’s the Boston Globe and they made the whole thing up.
