(CBSNews)
On Friday February 11, the day Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak stepped down, CBS correspondent Lara Logan was covering the jubilation in Tahrir Square for a 60 MINUTES story when she and her team and their security were surrounded by a dangerous element amidst the celebration. It was a mob of more than 200 people whipped into frenzy.
In the crush of the mob, she was separated from her crew. She was surrounded and suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating before being saved by a group of women and an estimated 20 Egyptian soldiers. She reconnected with the CBS team, returned to her hotel and returned to the United States on the first flight the next morning. She is currently in the hospital recovering.

Laura wasn’t the only one. I believe CNN had people assaulted. Plus, FOX’s Greg Palcot and Oleg Wiig barely escaped with their lives. There were 300 killed. But according to the news the protests were spontaneous and peaceful.

'suffered a brutal and sustained sexual assault and beating' Isn't that what we here call gang rape?

No, that’s because she was an agent for Islamist governments, and they provided her protection.

'To the person who said it's still her fault for taking the assignment: I don't know how bright she is. They would have had to explain the risks to her.' We've all seen the coverage. Would YOU have gone or told them to shove it up their hiney?

Welcome to Islam. Its immoral to eat pork but rape is acceptable. Especially with the young boys that their prophet was so fond of.

CBS USED her, and then FAILED to report the story.

"Shes lucky she wasnt beheaded for infidelity afterwards by the islamic savages." That, or like in Iran, she would get raped again by an uncle because she dishonored the family by being raped, then she would get stoned to death.
Nukes come to my mind....

SOOOOO, the Egyptian SOLDIERS saved her!! I thought all of the media condemned the soldiers for being so mean to the democratic protestors!!! BLAH!
Greg Palkot also got saved by soldiers by getting into their TANK!!
These soldiers are paid for by US, we've trained them and it sounds like they saved two lives.

They've been there for well over a thousand years, so it's not a case of getting there.
This business of having women go into the middle of all male mobs of primitive Moslems is one of the stupider things our network moguls have gotten into.
