He’s a good dude- glad to have him on our side. His endorsement of Jeb B. was a little strange, but JB is probably the most conservative Bush.
The immigration stance is weak, IMHO.
If he becomes the nominee, I’ll back him (learned my lesson backing Perot the first time).
He won’t be the nominee, though.

I didn’t make that clear but you are right- South C is a strong, business-friendly manufacturing base. Jobs for Americans, building all kinds of things.
Why would he endorse JB? Old loyalties? GOP Centrist qualms?
Just curious- don’t know him that well.

You must have Jim Demint mixed up with someone else. In 2007 Demint was the one that gummed up the works and kept the amnesty bill from passing. He is strongly against illegal immigration and amnesty.

Anyone that runs against Palin is going to have a very difficult time. Because the Left has attacked her so viciously, any criticism of her will make a candidate on the right appear to be aligning with the left. Which will elevate her and sink them. It is a no win situation.
