From FOX:
DEVELOPING: Loud explosions and gunfire were heard in the Egyptian capital of Cairo Friday, as protesters demanding the removal of President Hosni Mubarak defied a curfew, Al Jazeera reported. Egyptian television reports the ruling party headquarters in Cairo are on fire.
From TWITTER:
WashingtonPost: Clinton: We urge #Egypt authorities to allow peaceful protest, reverse unprecedented steps it has taken to cut off communications less than 20 seconds ago
Reporter questions Gibbs about intenet shutdown and says it’s British Vodaphone. Gibbs doesn’t repsond about specific company.
LOL, good point. No, we’re the great satan, and they’re “the Egyptian people”. Can’t you see the difference? Har...
A week ago I wonder how man people would have considered Egypt an ally?
You will get what you get, not necessarily what you want.
You want great leaders, then elect men who recognize where real power comes from, otherwise stick with the muslims, or other fornicators.
Meanwhile, and with a big FWIW since it's from the Beeb....
There you go...
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
Festivus like Airing of Grievances?

Seems like it. Anything which could set up a potential US crisis, you know
I enjoy watching this version of Gibbs.
There’s incoming fire and he’s taking hits, LOL
” Analyst on Al Jazeera: Jordan, Syria, Algeria next. “
That sounds like a SAT question —
“Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Algeria - which does not belong on the list”
(Hint - which one is *already* an Iranian Client State??)
Don’t like this.
Might need our boys to have a bug out plan if Saudi goes up.
When Reagan left office I thought we were stable for a long time into the future.
I've had many similar thoughts in the last two years. I was stationed in Nurnberg, Germany at the end of the Cold War. My unit, 2nd ACR, did the last patrol of the border between the Bundesrepublik and the DDR before the two countries became one in Nov 1990. While looking at the landscape around the soon-to-be defunct border, I thought, "Thank God all this crazy communism is defunct! The people who founded it are on history's ash heap. We buried them."
I am astonished every day that within twenty years after that last border patrol, we have to fight a neo-Marxist in the White House, knowing that about 40% of America thinks he's doing a good job!
It will take some serious violence to keep Mubarak in power, and if he does stay in power he is gonna be one pi$$ed off dictator. He will not forget Obama pulling out the rug.
Sigh- I know. Whether he’s in or out of the loop is moot.
In ref to your link- per twitter: Mubarak presidential guard unit heads toward state TV station in Cairo - Al Jazeera #Jan25 #Egypt
So there may be some splintering of the military or “guards”..
Ann Compton is the new Helen Thomas, LOL
I cannot believe this WH.
'WTF' is the new protocol...carry on.
I watched Gibbs for a while. He had nothing. It’s painful to watch him.
Obama nowhere to be found.
Upside down and inside out
Lenin did it.
Ayatollah K did it.
Castro did it.
I’m betting on the ruthless ones.
