From FOX:
DEVELOPING: Loud explosions and gunfire were heard in the Egyptian capital of Cairo Friday, as protesters demanding the removal of President Hosni Mubarak defied a curfew, Al Jazeera reported. Egyptian television reports the ruling party headquarters in Cairo are on fire.
From TWITTER:

Doesn't one of Nostradamus’ quatrains say something to a similar effect about the Chinese? I believe the Chinese just march to the Middle East (like locusts) Like the analogy!
Mubarek is up to ass in gators, Obama is not high on his radar right now.
iowahawkblog2 minutes agoI don’t know what’s going on over there in Egypt, but it sphinx to high heaven. #rimshot #trytheveal #tipyourwaitress

The American left suffers from the "Don't just stand there....do something" syndrome. They are afraid of appearing as if they don't know what to do, when in reality, they don't.
Color me unconvinced that we are watching a replay of '79. But even if we are what exactly would you have us do? Call for heavier handed tactics?
I hope to god it is not some Taliban like regime..
Look how on the troop carriers running through Cairo that some sort of non-Egyptian red flag is being flown. THAT is the news of the moment.
This is no "pro-democracy" protest. The Muslim Brotherhood organized the Friday event. You watch history being made.
Time to review BHO's Cairo speech and the recent Wikileaks about this as contributing to the mid-east chaos. This gives BHO the high gasoline prices and a crisis he wanted.
I thought we had solid contingency plans for various international events.
There is also a post on Hot Air about oil rigs already moving out of the Gulf... just to make things even worse.
Probably a smart move. I’m looking at photos on flickr. It’s sometimes an interesting place to find photos.

So here we are in the handbasket our “Dear Leader” Obama and his Gestapo have so artfully fashioned for us. Coincidence?
Get ready for that “National Emergency” that makes Obama the Supreme Leader of the US.
Interesting, to say the least.
Yes, we did kick the can down the road. I believe Iraq will continue to be a Western influenced nation for some time to come. I don’t see it going Iran on us any time soon.
In the Middle-East that’s the best we can hope for. And with regard to that, I appreciate this aspect of Bush’s terms in office. He stuck to it on this one, and I’m glad.

What, Mubarek already landed in DC has he, has Gibbs got him in for a post regime interview.
According to my friend, you're correct.
Offshore activity is down 39%. Land activity is up 34% but that is low-volume production compared to the Off Shore effort.
Thanks, I appreciate it.
CNN reporter on the ground in Cairo is saying there is no government presence. No police, military. Protests have calmed because the protesters have no opposition. Reporter says crowds are in street with cameras and videos just milling around.

And the political will to actually do it:
the ‘5MT Solution’ for Mecca and Medina.
