My guess is Mubarak has fled Egypt and they have no idea what to say.

I respectfully disagree with those on this thread that say it’s a forgone conclusion that hardcore Islamists will end up in power in Egypt or elsewhere.
Truthfully, no one has the foggiest idea how this will play out. It’s not even clear that there will be any change at all.

Could Freepers who are discussing which Pres contender would handle Egypt the best please start their own thread? This thread should not be about Sarah Palin, whether you support her, or if you don't support her, as a candidate.
It's both.
Islamic hardliners want elections (democracy), which they will win overwhelmingly, so they can give the people what they want (sharia at home, war abroad).
It's really, REALLY simple.
