Trust me, if Jerry can make an extra dime doing that, it will be done.

I liked the two enthusiastic guys dressed in Steelers gear who were standing on the ground in front of the bleachers waving their terrible towels and working up the crowd! THOSE are Pittsburgh cheer leaders!
Like another freeper said “We don’t need no steenkin’cheerleaders!”

The Vikings Ragnar the Viking.
Maybe the Packers could have someone dressed up like, oh, I don’t know, Elton John?

OK, since no one is posting the obvious:
In 2002 (?) the new Cowboys stadium had Astroturf, instead of grass so that the cheerleaders wouldn’t been seen eating the grass. (They look so famished.)
Obviously, Green Bay has no cheerleaders (don’t need any). For Pittsburg, as much as I like them, they’d have to resod the entire place.

I mentioned this to the wife right after the Steelers won. I couldn’t think of another time the SB matched two teams that didn’t have cheer squads.

I would like to see anything other than these talking goonies for halftime. Give me some marching bands with plenty of majorettes, cheerleaders, anything but what we are subject to now.

I’m surprised that the NFL hasn’t issued a mandate that the Steelers and Packers get cheerleaders. After all that’s how the Steelers got stuck with that ridiculous Steely McBeam mascot.
To: shove_it
And does anyone think it’s a good idea to have cheerleaders around Ben Rothlisberger? :)

Having cheerleaders doesn't necessarily save a team from having a ridiculous mascot, case in point
