First Black Tea Party Forms in Houston

Crispus Attucks Falls at the Boston Massacre
Anita MonCrief, infamous ACORN whistleblower, was asked to go on Sean Hannitys radio show [2] Thursday the 20th to discuss the founding of Americas first black Tea Party [3].
Named after the first person to die in the Revolutionary War, the Crispus Attucks [4] Tea Party was founded January 18th, 2011, at This Is It [5] soul food restaurant in the heart of Houston, Texas 3rd district. (Read the interesting original court documents about the Boston Massacre, including a dramatic description of Attucks slaying, here [6].)
The 3rd district is Represented by Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, and was the focal point of rampant ACORN-style vote fraud [7] and widespread voter intimidation [8] this past November. It is thus fitting that this tea party had its inaugural meeting [9] right down the street from Lees residence.
With the typical politesse and considerate attitude of conservatives always left unreported by the press (do ya think?) Rep. Lee was extended an invitation to the event. And with typical leftist rudeness, Lee snubbed it. Wonder why? These are her constituents, after all.
Surprisingly, the local Fox News channel reporting on the event hastened to observe [10] that many attendees at this founding meeting were white. Simply unbelievable. Is it not even possible to attend an event in support of the group without the information being somehow skewed by the media to suggest that it wasnt authentic because white people were there???
One blogger put up a hilarious parody of liberal hypocrisy, observing that if they could get away with it, liberals would report the event as: White Tea Party Racists Attend Black Tea Party [11].
Well, never mind. The times they are a changin! Yes they are, and the media is getting the message, whether they want to hear it or not. We are not going away.
When I first read your title OP, I first thought you indicated the first black tea party in Houston was represented by Congresswoman Lee!
So, what, are whites not allowed?
lol. Same here. Can you imagine?? SJL Tea Party Leader.......
IMHO, Anita has put her life on the line for this country.
A truly great story is being written:
Black and white TEA party patriots - don’t care about the media, they care about America.
God love y’all TEXANS;).
So is it conservative or black? I guess race does matter.
Having this Jackson Lee person head this effort up is immediately making a mockery of it as well as something with which to mock the whole Tea Party Movement!!!
Anita MonCrief Has Fired a Cannon Heard `Round the World
HOORAY Anita MonCrief!
HOORAY Anita MonCrief!
HOORAY Anita MonCrief!
That’s not what they’re saying. They just decided to honor Attucks’ memory by naming the party after him. One of my FB buddies went to the event and he enjoyed himself. Finished the evening with a Guinness.
sorry, black tea party goes against everything the tea party should stand for. no black, no white, just pissed off americans trying to have their conservative voice heard by tone-deaf politicians.
Good Lord. Get a hold of yourself and read the darn article.
Sheila Jackson Lee represents the area in Houston where this tea party group is being formed. Jackson Lee is a raving moonbat lunatic who would never have anything to do with a Tea Party anywhere - including one in her own district.
For crying out loud! It's the MEDIA who are calling this group a "black" Tea Party. The organizers have NOT formed a black-only Tea Party group.
Anita Moncrief is a reformed liberal who is now a staunch conservative. She has formed this Tea Party in the black community so that conservatives can begin exerting a presence in that community, and spread some education about our values and solutions.
Sheeesh....go to the link and read the whole story.
She looks like she could use that bar of soap. RATs aren't particularly known for their personal hygiene.
She used to have that crown-like dreadlock hairdo that must have remained unwashed for years.
Maybe race matters to the folks within the community. It's got to be tough to be a black conservative if only because no matter where he/she goes, it's assumed he/s liberal until and unless otherwise identified, and the same doesn't hold true for white folks or Asians, for that matter.
So a black person anywhere is, in a way, holding up a sign that says, "There's a 90 percent chance I'm a screaming liberal," just the same way as a hippy-dippy vegan college kid does. Sad, but true?
It's got to be quadruple-true if you're a black conservative living in a black neighborhood. I can imagine there being a lot of closet conservatives and Republicans there. So in order to change it, I suppose they might need to make it about race in that context, and that's fine with me. Wish I could help, but don't know how other than with political support.
Self-segregation happens.
Wind, some day this will be behind us. I'd be interested in your take.
